We bought our new Durabrand Model YD-298 blender about 3 months ago when our old one stopped working. We had some criteria in mind when selecting our new blender. First and foremost we wanted a glass blender. Next, we wanted it to have more than 8 speeds and over 400 watts. I love making fruit smoothies and purreed foods as well so those two speeds were required. I knew that I would need a durable blender that could stand up to repeated and regular use.
