I purchased the magic bullet and was pleasantly surprised! This little guy was so much more than a blender/chopper/mixer/etc! It makes the best smoothies in the world; better than any smoothie place. I just add frozen mixed fruit, a little bit of orange or apple juice and a banana and voila....the best smoothie you will ever taste! Vita-Mix 5200 Blender
This is by far the best blender I've ever used!!!
I've had it for a couple of years & I've used it nearly everyday...sometimes several times a day!!!! It's great for smoothies, custom coffee blends, nut milks, nut butters, soups, fruit & vegetable juices, pancake batters, syrups....you get the point....it's great for everything!!!!!!! I can't say enough about how wonderful this blender is!!!!!!! The best part is; after all of those things you can make...it's super easy to clean!!!!! :D

Hamilton Beach 10 Speed
I got the Hamilton Beach 10 Speed blender as a birthday present, oddly enough (don't worry ~ I requested it as a present). After I started using it, though, I was more than a bit disappointed. It's rather fussy, won't blend smoothly if the food isn't weighty enough, and often needs to be baby-sat. As examples, I tried to make 1 can of garbanzo beans worth of hummus, and it ended up being far too gritty. It worked better with two cans, but I only cook for myself, so it would go bad before I could use it all. In another case, I tried to make a slushie for myself, and I had to stand over the blender...

I got this stick blender because I have a 4 year old smoothie addict and I got tired of cleaning out the big blender a couple of times a day. This thing is great - it makes a perfect smoothie in no time. It's plenty powerful and handles any fruits (even apples) with ease. I haven't used it for sauces and soups as the other reviewers do because I don't know how to make any, but it makes a killer smoothie. Oster Oster 10 Speed Blender White
I have this same blender in a clear red plastic base. The bottom tends to leak liquid and the plastic container doesn't rest very securely in the motorized base. Mechanical failures aside, the plastic pitcher doesn't clean well- I mostly used this blender for smoothies and found that, no matter how much I scrubbed, the pitcher always had gross fruit bits stuck to the plastic. Don't waste your time or money on this thing. I'm throwing mine out and buying a model with a glass pitcher and more reliability. It was not what i expected, and i would not reccomend it at all. The blender is one of the best I've ever had, surpasses other plastic blenders. I previously had a plastic blender which cracked when I tried to blend a soup-- the blender cracked under the heat and exploded all over my kitchen. The container is made of glass, which means you can use it to blend soups/hot foods without the worry of cracking.
The blender design itself is very nice, and it's available in many colors/finishes.

This is the best blender ever!!! I was hesitant to even buy a blender because my friends' blenders were always breaking. So I decided I'd get the blender that I saw all the TV cooks using. The all had the Kitchen Aid blender. It was something $99, and this was back in 2003, and I had a rebate, so I it was like 89, with the tax (they still do the rebate! Oster 14-Speed Osterizer Blender (6608)
This blender has served me really well for light use. I enjoy having 14 different speeds (whether or not I'll need them all!) and have found that it tackles most things I want with strength and precision. The blade detaches as well, to make for easier cleaning.

Vitamix 1005 Variable-Speed Blender
I have had my VITA MIXER for years..and it has lasted....Used it to make different things at different times..You get to use the entire Veggie/Fruit...which are all heathy for you...
Now I am using it for a breakfast drink..although it is more like a meal..I add fruit..yogurts...vitamins..instant oatmeal..and whatever else you like...mix it and drink it..I would never eat all the fruit I use..so drinking it is the best for me..
Buy fresh fruit on sale..freeze in packs..and add a different one each day...mix them up..use them all...whatever...

Magic Bullet Blender - High Speed Mixing System
The magic Bullet is a great product. I use it at least 3 to 4 times a week but in the past 5 years I replace the engine at least 3 times. Not a great quality product.
