Most HelpfulBottom-Line: The BlackBerry Storm 9530 may take some getting used to, but as a business messaging platform it excels like no other, including Windows Mobile and iPhone handhelds.
The BlackBerry Storm 9530 is a multi-frequency broadband (3G) handset that offers anytime/anywhere access to corporate...

Most HelpfulWhere do I start with this phone? To me it is great. I have talked to others that hate it but the common denominator is this is their first touch screen phone. I have had a few touch screen phones before this one and I think it helped me ease the transition. It has all of the perks of a Blackberry with the added convenience of instantly selecting your function. No more track ball to slow you down going from application to application. The new Blackberry App Store just opened offering a slew of new downloads for your phone. It comes preinstalled with an 8 GB memory card for your use...
review »I was quite skeptical about the Storm (especially the first generation) but I decided to go for it. I used the Blackberry 8830 and found the keys to be too small and I didn't like the fact that it wasn't a touch screen.
After migrating to the Storm I found that I really like the touch screen interface. It is easier for me to use and like the pivoting screen. When using the keyboard the letter key will light up letting you know it will be selected when you press down. I was able to connect to my email easily and upload my music without any problems.
I was happy to see the Storm comes with a...
review »I upgraded from a motorola q to the storm. It took some time to get used to the touch screen feature but I like it now.
The one thing I am missing is the windows based framework. Although, microsoft office programs can be downloaded for a fee. However, the phone is easy to use, takes pretty good pictures and you can store plenty of songs, pictures and videos using the media button. You do need to update the phone frequently because it tends to freeze, resetting the phone by taking out the battery is also needed frequently. It has the ability to add facebook and myspace which is cool. One negative...
review »I have been a Blackberry user for a while now and I must say that they never let me down. With all they hype about the I Phone I decided to check out Blackberry's Storm. It's their touch screen version. It is great. I had not read very good reviews about it but since my Verizon store had a try it policy I thought I would take advantage. I love the phone. It took me only a day to get used to the touch screen. At first I didn't think I was going to like it but after a few hours of playing around on it and getting used to the feel of the "buttons" it was easy. The cons of the phone are that sometimes...
review »So this is my first blackberry and my first all touch phone so I was a bit nervous at first but after playing with one in the Verizon store it was love at first sight!!! Of course the salesman at the store showed me a few features up front like the Visual Voicemail which is awesome!!! No more calling your vm....you can see who the voicemail is from, pause, rewind and fast forward as well as return the call all on the screen and without ever calling. Of course all the cool little features like scrolling and wiping make for a fun phone even when not in use. I still catch myself playing with...
review »My fiance and I each got a Blackberry Storm as soon as they came out. The quality of the product is excellent, albeit there is definitely a learning curve. I love having a QWERTY keyboard for texting - I hated texting before on a regular cell phone keypad and now it is the most common way I communicate with my 30-yr old daughter who resides another state. I appreciate having my Outlook contacts and calendar synchronized so that my information is always at hand. I can read the new at CNN.com while I'm waiting in a doctor's office or take my grocery list (and recipes!) with me. With 8gb of memory,...
review »This was my first Blackberry, and I can say that I will never be able to have a "regular" phone again. I'm crackberry addicted, especially to BB Msger and the large array of applications that I have downloaded onto my phone. I feel though that my battery does not last long and I dislike having to reboot my phone because it seems to "lock up" every few days. I am interested in possibly switching over to the Blackberry Tour when it comes out. The Storm has given me a love/hate relationship with my phone, and although the touch screen is convient I would hope that Verizon or Blackberry could fix the...
review »this phone rocks ive been told it compares to at&t's iphone but of course without the headaches & the hefty price. the storm can easily switch between any of its applications to answer an email, or any other kind of message. for example you can surf the internet using its full html browser then without losing any progress switch to answer a txt message or phone call then go right back to where you were. perfect for the techie on the go.
I love the touch screen on the storm but sometimes it's hard to type with the keys seeming too close. I love the larger screen size and all the apps.
This review concerns the Blackberry Storm. It is a great, functional touch screen product. There are some apps that do not work with the touch screen, so you want to be careful before you buy and always read the app reviews first. It could have more games, which would be a nice way to keep my kids occupied in the car or in the grocery store, but they like the two games it does come with. Additionally, the sound and picture quality is great when watching videos and listening to music. We were able to take advantage of the Buy one get one free offer from Verizon Wireless, which also made...
review »A couple of months ago, I bought the brand new Blackberry Storm 9530, a couple weeks after it was released. It was "the" phone. It's new clicking touch technology really impressed the market, of course, me being one of it. the new Storm seemed like the perfect storm for me.
I purchased this phone with the carrier Telus. I really wanted the phone but I could only get it under two conditions; on a new contact, and a not return policy. I wanted it so bad that I didn't care and bought it anyway. $450 later, I was quite impressed.. but that costly first impression only latest 2 weeks until it's flaws...
