I have owned this phone for about 3 months now. So far I am incredibly impressed with this brilliant phone.

Real time email, easy web browsing, smallest blackberry on the market. My few gripes include the memory management issues, sometimes I will lose my call log completely if my memory is getting full....

I must admit I love the technology of my Blackberry Pearl, although I resisted it at first.  It was a gift from my husband, and so I was forced to give up my old, reliable mobile phone, something I would not have done on my own.  After setting up the Pearl, I learned how much I love getting email anytime,... review »

Great for anyone on the go.  The keyboard could be improved, but it's works well and keeps the size to a minimum--a plus for those looking for a truely pocket sized phone.

Although it doesn't have the storage capabilities of an iPhone, Blackberry arguably has the best software on the market.  I will look for the next generation Pearl, but am very happy with the basic functions of this model.

Hmmmm, where to start with this thing.....I love it and the best part about mine, I won it. I worked for T-Mobile for over 3 years and I am glad I did when it was launched. I got to go to a Blackberry celebration! Ok, sorry to make you jealous, now to the review. I just recently did a handset exchange on mine due to the common trackball not going up. I am glad that T-Mobile took care of me and I set up the new one already.
This device is so cool. You may not be able to take videos with it, but you can store them on your BB. It will hold movies on there and Handango.com does have a conversion software....

I've owned a couple of Blackberrys in the past, and while I've always loved the always-on e-mail and web browsing capabilities, I was never crazy about the bulky form-factor.  Anyone who has a "regular" Blackberry knows what I'm talking about... not too fun to carry around in your pocket.

With the Pearl, at last we have a Blackberry that looks and feels like an actual phone!  Same great push e-mail and phone features, in a much smaller, sleeker form-factor.  To achieve the reduction in size, a predictive text keyboard is used instead of a full keyboard like in other Blackberrys.  Unlike a normal...

The Pearl is my first PDA, having been a phone guy until recently. I like it a lot. Size matters to me (I refuse to wear a device - other than a gun - in a holster outside my pants), so I love that the Pearl is smaller than most phones.

The keys are tight and can be tricky for a guy with big thumbs. But you get used to it, and the smart typing program amazes me every day (in a year, I'll HATE it when it guesses wrong on the word I'm typing).

Web surfing, even on .mobile sites, sucks. But that's not what I bought it for. I knew it wasn't an iPhone.

The UI for phone and email are fine. Not spectacular,...

Though I loved my Sidekick 2 and the lovely slide over keyboard, when I swithced to the first BB was happy- but when I moved onto the Blackberry Pearl I was *very* happy. Has so mcuh and is small and easy to tuck away and handy to use! Perfect traveling phone - I use it all day long and did I mention how much I love the stereo headphones?!

I really like my blackberry pearl, it gets good reception almost anywhere. It takes a little while to get used to, but once you do it's worth it. I really enjoy this phone. It' so easy to text on and I like the themes you can change it to, the things you can can add to it is also nice.

I used a Razr flip phone for about 3 years before I purchased by BlackBerry. What a breath of fresh air!

There are so many great features on this phone. It does take a few days to get used to navigating the menus and typing on the miniature QWERTY keyboard. Once you get the hang of those things it is very user friendly with great user guides that tell you how to access different features, apply settings, download new ringers, surf the net, etc. (so you don't have to carry the instruction booklet around).

This is my first experience with a phone that navigates with trackball and it is so nice,...

I love this phone. I can access my personal and business email from anywhere. I can access the internet and play games if I want. It's just the right size, not too big, not too small. I have a good battery life. With normal use, I only charge it about twice a week, sometimes only once per week. The bluetooth voice dial is great. You speak a command. For instance "call mom", it's just like those automated calls where you say what you want. It have never gotten it wrong, amazing! The ring volume could stand a boost, you will want to add your own loud ringtone, as the preloaded ones are cool; they...

So this was my very 1st Blackberry and instantly I was in love! Because I work from home sometimes, I was able to still receive my e-mails without being attached to my laptop. Even when I'm in the office & I need to be away from my desk but I'm waiting on an important e-mail, I can venture off & still stay on top of things. I love the fact that I could sync this phone with my Microsoft Outlook so even if something happened to my phone, I still had all of my contacts on my computer or vice versa. The only thing that I didn't really like about it was the keyboard. I would've preferred a full QWERTY...

All right, so I got this Blackberry Pearl as a gift and its great. I just like it because its small and sleek. I don't use it for emailing or anthing since i sit at my desk in my office all day checking my email. I don't have any complaints really about the phone except that I can't send picture messages or receive them. This is because I do not subscribe to the Blackberry messenger service because I do not need the email application. Its a pain in my butt when I can't send pictures to my friends. Besides the picture sending problem I love this phone.

This is an awesome phone, period. The best, perhaps (though I've never really used the iPhone).

The phone is so small -- the size of a regular cell phone -- yet has fantastic audio quality (a HUGE problem with my old Treo), great e-mail, calendar and contact functionality and acceptable web browsing.

RIM has set the standard with the Pearl.

I am reviewing the Blackberry cell phone. I ve been using it for 10 months now. I use it for work to talk to clients and to check my outlook emails while away from my desk. I also use it for personal use to go on the internet, use google maps and facebook. It is a pretty good phone, not as good as the IPHONE of course, but has the same basic functionalities.
