Blackberry - Pearl Smartphone Cell Phone —

The Pearl is my first PDA, having been a phone guy until recently. I like it a lot. Size matters to me (I refuse to wear a device - other than a gun - in a holster outside my pants), so I love that the Pearl is smaller than most phones.

The keys are tight and can be tricky for a guy with big thumbs. But you get used to it, and the smart typing program amazes me every day (in a year, I'll HATE it when it guesses wrong on the word I'm typing).

Web surfing, even on .mobile sites, sucks. But that's not what I bought it for. I knew it wasn't an iPhone.

The UI for phone and email are fine. Not spectacular, but they work. Track ball is a little slippery but you can slow it down which helps.

Haven't had any problems with the phone, hearing or being heard, and what issues have crept up are network related. That's another review.
