This is a great phone overall.  Everyone seems to have one (even in foreign countries I've been to).  This is for good reason...it's fairly easy to learn the navigation of it, the rollerball is a unique functions and you get all the benefits of a Blackberry phone without the super large size.  The...

Other than using my computer, it can safely be said that I'm not much of a tech geek.  For that matter, I don't even own a cell phone.  So, I was a complete novice when it came to trying out my daughter's Blackberry Pearl 8100 Cell Phone.

I remember when my daughter first decided to get the Blackberry. ...

I love my blackberry pearl.  I used to just own razors (which break really easily by the way) and the krazor, which also broke ha ha...and I was a bit wary of suddenly graduating to a much more tech advanced phone.  there are so many applications and things you can do on the blackberry.  Its almost like owning a miniature laptop computer.  but with much coaxing from my husband, I purchased one and I don't think I could ever go back to using a regular phone again.  You can browse google, yahoo, facebook, myspace, all from your phone.  If i ever get lost, I can use the google maps application...

My husband decided to change our carrier about two years ago to T-mobile, which is how i ended up with the Blackberry Pearl 8100.  At the time it was the cool new phone to have.  I would have been happy with my old one. lol  It took a little getting used to at first, since navigating is way different depending on the phone.  There is a handy tutorial right on the phone, which helps you with shortcuts and commonly asked questions.  Especially useful are the lessons on typing and texting, which i love to do.  The phone has an alarm, a camera, a calculator, a calendar, all the usual suspects. ...

The Blackberry Pearl 8100 seems a little scary to those less advanced in the technical world, it comes with a keyboard that is in a mix of a  true QWERTY keyboard and a traditional phone keyboard, at first simple tasks as inserting a contact in phone book, or sending a text messages  can take some getting used to Blackberry installed SureType predictive text to make such task easier.  Like all BlackBerries, the Pearl has the excellent BlackBerry push email client that will work with your existing BlackBerry Enterprise Server software and if you get the phone from a carrier you can use the...

When I was looking for a new phone, I knew I wanted to be able to read my email and go on the Internet. So the blackberry family was perfect for me. When I was introduced to the Pearl, it was even greater. I enjoy the pearl because it is pretty much everything I want in a phone. It is sleek, slim, extremely easy to use, and has everything that I need and more. I would recommend this type of phone for anyone who is interested in retrieving their email while on the go, and would like to be able to get on the Internet for other things. I can even check my bank account, which is also a plus!! The camera...

I have had the BlackBerry Pearl for a while now, and it's a good phone to have if you need to have smart phone technology.  The size is small enough to be compact and still feel like a phone, but not so small that typing is difficult.   The keyboard uses SmartTap technology, meaning there are 2 letters per button, but it is easy to get used to.  It is also easy to type out messages and email without having to look at the keyboard, since the keys are easy to tell apart.  The phone itself works pretty well, with only minor disruptions in coverage.  I have never had anyone complain that the...

I have had my Blackberry Pearl 8100 and am completely addicted to it.  I've never had one tiny bit of trouble with the phone, and it has always worked the way it is supposed to.  I like the camera feature, and the pictures on the phone look good but when you upload them, they are fuzzy and the color quality is not so good.  I'm an inpatient person so I like to have something to do if I have to wait anywhere ... when I got the phone, I was somewhat disappointed that there were not many games or applications available for it.  But that was two years ago, and now there are tons of things you can...

Blackberry is a great phone brought on the market by Research in Motion.  You can do anything from writing memos and surfing the internet to receiving emails.  Its been great for business use and home use.  Pearl is great because its small and looks like a phone and works like a computer.  I write memos on it, use the spreadsheets which comes as an app.  Keep plans and ofcourse make calls.  It is every easy to use and I really like the texting feauture because you are able to text and it looks like you are using the messenger.   The only donwside is the ball is the only tracking function. ...

I love the Blackberry pearl 8100. This phone is sweet. I really like the way it is designed and the way it fits in your hand and pocket. Having all the features of this phone in such a small lightweight package is awesome. I bought this phone almost two years ago. At the time I was looking into several different phones that had email and internet capabilities. I had been hearing alot of good things about blackberry products so I decided to give them a try. When I went to buy it the sales associate at the t-mobile store had to explain to me how the keyboard worked on this particular phone but...

While I am rarely seperated from my 'Berry, and wonder how life existed without it, there have been a few issues! Occassionaly, either the battery gets low or the processor is full and I get the spinning sand timer or full out screen freeze. Before I installed the 2G memory chip, this happened on a regular enough basis and I literally couldn't get a call processed fast enough from the time I would answer to the time it would have been patched through! Very aggrivating! There is also no video record function that I have found, which is a little disappointing, although the camera is great! I... read full review »

The Black Berry Pearl 8100 is by dar my favorite phone yet. It is a great all around phone for any kind of user whether you just make a few phone calls a day or check your work e-mails and play games and always looking for the latest apps. You can store your thoughts, notes, music, pictures, or just about anything you can think of.

Blackberry pearl 8100 is very suitable for both business and personal use. it comes with a easy to use scroll ball and nice keypad. this phone charges fully in about an hour. It has a sleak design and has good flash camera. I liked the phone's good speaker phone and also it has good reception.

I love my blackberry because it enables me to keep in touch with just about everyone. The email and texting features are great. I don't really care for the browser technology, because it doesn't provide me with full capabilities.

Although I don't maximize all of the features, it's overall a nice phone. The only problem is that it locks up and I have to take the battery out, etc. My cheapy phones seem to never have problems functioning.
