Blackberry - Curve 8310 Cell Phone —

The 8310 has, to date, been the only phone I have owned that delivers what I want. The battery life has diminshed a bit since new, but I expect that. Also, this phone seems to leave a bit to be desired in voice quality and can cut out a bit during calls. This is a nonissue for me as I mainly text, and it certainly doesn't keep this Smartphone from delivering. The full qwerty keyboard is such a relief for texting. (I have larger hands and I didn't feel I could use the Pearl, efficiently). Please, do yourself a favor and spring for the unlimited texting and data so that you can truly enjoy this phone. Viewing web pages is a joy and the larger screen is perfect for this. Email through the phone is a very nice feature and is a breeze. I also love the ability to capture so much information about each of my contacts! However, the single most useful tool, for me, just might be the calendar! Appointments can be made and texted right to my Blackberry! I just accept what I want and the calendar fills for me. I can look at dates and see how much of my day is planned and what is conflicting. Finally, I know where everyone is, wherever I go, at any time I want to know! Did I mention MP3 and GPS capability? In short, I'm still trying to think of a useful feature that is missing!

P.S. What I know now: You can go to Infospace and download software to this phone that gives you GPS with voice to guide you places. AT&T sells their 8310 with a separate GPS function that you might enjoy but you also have to pay for access to said function. T-Mobile's version of the same phone does not have the GPS but they include free WIFI access for your favorite hotspots.

P.S.S. I think my original phone was a refurbished model. Which is apparently not uncommon. Any way, it stopped working for me. I contacted my carrier and they provided a new phone. Whether or not I was charged for the second phone was dependent on their investigation as to if I damaged the phone or not. I did not get charged and my new phone has been great!
