Horrible.

I hate this phone with every fiber of my. Being. Lack of battery power, half-baked touch screen with horrible key pad. iPhone is so much easier to use. If I could trash my phone, I would Durability Unfortunately good.

Great Smart phone...most of the time

3

I have this phone for work and my firm pays for it which is nice. I had a much older version of the Blackberry until I got this new one a few months ago. WHen I was setting it up I was a little confused about all of the different setps I had to take in order to get everything lined up just so. I guess i am not as smart as my phone because there are days when I still don't get a lot of what is going on on my smart phone. I do like the fact that it has a keypad as well as a touch screen. Working with other smart phones that just have the touch screen it is easy to misspell words because your fingers don't land directly where you wanted them to go. I also like the fact that instead of a scroll ball like the previous versions it has a mini touch screen that allows you to move about the screen like you would with a mouse on a computer. The features of having favorite apps, all aps and frequently used aps can be a little confuing sometimes as I don't always think to look at which of these lists I am in until I can't find the app that I was looking for and then I get VERY frustrated. Using the phone for phone purposes is fine and accessing e-mail and internet is quite easy as well. It has a great camera and takes good pics and video which are easily e-mailed or shared on facebook. Battery Life Could last longer

Once a Blackberry Girl, Always a Blackberry Girl!

**Blackberry Bold 9650** - 3G Data Capabilities - Visual Voicemail - VZ Navigator - Push to Talk - Skype Mobile - Blackberry Messenger **My Viewpoint!**After 2 years of having the **Blackberry Curve **and then switching to a *Droid 2 Global *for 30 days, I was more than happy to switch back to the phone that never has done me wrong! I knew that I should've just stayed with **Blackberry** when I was due to upgrade to a new phone but I let the hype over the* Droid 2* get to me but now I'm back and I'm loving my new **Blackberry Bold 9650**. It has been approximately 3 months since I have had my **Blackberry Bold 9650 **and I'm still loving it. True to it's word, the **Blackberry B**old delivers my emails instantly and without fail. With a job very dependent on correspondence through email, the **Bold 9650 **instantly delivers my emails and it's very easy to respond and save drafts while in email. I also enjoy having buttons to type and call with,I prefer not to have a touch screen phone. I also missed **Blackberry Messenger **while I was away. It's so easy to stay in contact with my other friends with **Blackberry's **through BBM. Texting has been streamlined since my last **Blackberry **and it has become easier to navigate through text messages and respond. Of course, there are more emoticons and symbols with the new **Blackberry Bold 9650**, as well. I almost forgot to mention the trackpad! How awesome is that? My old **Blackberry **had a roller ball! I have a few cons about the **Blackberry Bold 9650**. One of them being able to look things up on the internet. It's slow and not always convenient. Luckily for me that is a feature that I most seldom use. Also, the camera isn't the greatest but I take pictures on my Canon for quality not my cell phone. A **Blackberry **user friend warned me when I was switching to the Droid 2 that I wouldn't like it as much. She said, "Once a **Blackberry **girl, always a **Blackberry **girl". She was right!

Confusing

2

I recently purchased a Blackberry Bold 9650 and thought that my transition to the smartphone world would be glorious. Nope. Aside from liking the physical design of the phone, I found this device to be so confusing and complicated. First, there were way to many different places to customize settings. If I wanted to customize call sounds I had to go one place to set general settings and then go to another place to control alert settings, then ANOTHER place to control settings for specific contacts. The instructional CD-ROM that came with my phone was helpful, but I was overwhelmed at trying to remember where to go to do what. I like the idea of a smartphone (downloading apps, web access, etc) but this phone really frustrated me. The phone took a long time to turn on. Sometimes it lagged and wouldn't respond to the trackball or me pressing keys. I returned this phone and will be getting one with a DRIOD OS. If you are looking for simplicity and ease of use do NOT get this phone. Big let down.

They finally got it perfect! Well just one little complaint

Blackberry finally got the phone perfect! This phone is fast, sleek, easy to use and the touch pad is amazing. This phone no longer has the lag that the 9630 had and this is a huge plus for those of us that were really annoyed with that. I was really surprised that I liked the trackpad as much as I did. I thought it would be out of control and go too fast. As it turns out, after using it I now think the trackball is too slow. The pad is just smoother and also easier to press to make a selection. The phone also comes with double the internal memory as the tour with 512. This is great for storing extra apps and photos. I still recommend getting an sd card though. That brings me to Blackberrys biggest flaw. Lack of apps. I guess I should say lack of apps for having fun. When it comes down to it, I always seem to be able to find the apps I need to do my job, so as long as that continues I plan to stay with blackberry for a while. All in all this is the phone that I recommend most from Blackberry. They got it right and this phone is awesome.

Good phone

Bought this phone a few weeks ago. Firstly I like the design.  Its small enough to still put in your pocket but big enough where the keys are somewhat easy to type on and see the screen.  It has some nice ringtones on it (better than my previous lg verizon phone).  I also like the black color with the silver inlays, looks classy.  Call quality is very good, speaker phone quality is also very good.  I can hear very clear on both ends.  When I bought it from Verizon it came with a few preinstalled games, the word-mole game was my favorite.  Also the software on the phone is very good, with the full data plan the websites look like real websites, and email looks like real email. The phone does freeze up every once in a while which is annoying, but for normal use it doesn't freeze.  Only when doing web-related things.  I like the light that blinks to show whether you have a missed call, voicemail, text or other message.  The apps are also great I enjoy the facebook app, you can link it to send you a message whenever you get a post on your facebook page but it can get quite annoying if your page has alot of activity.

Great Blackberry and overall phone!

5

As a Verizon subscriber and previous Blackberry curve user, I was very excited when they announced the new Blackberry - RIM Bold 9650 Tour2 Smartphone. I was happy to see the upgrades of a track pad versus the track ball, a camera with a flash, and wi-fi capabilities. The Bold 9650 did not disappoint. The screen is sharp with great colors and contrast, even with the optional privacy screen protector. The keyboard takes a little getting used to since the keys are curved and closer together than my past BB, but once adjusted it is fast, quiet, and easy to use. The call quality is excellent on the phone itself, the speakerphone, and with the included headset. The trackpad works very well with settings to adjust its sensitivity. The camera quality surpasses all of my past phones with a strong flash and clear, focused pictures. I am able to send and save as many as I need with the optional add-on memory card. The battery life is comparable to other blackberrys and is honestly just dependant on how much you use the phone and what applications you use. I did notice that setting the phone to always search for a wi-fi signal drained the battery really fast. Now, I leave it off and only manually connect when I need or want to. With heavy app and internet use the battery lasts throughout my 14 hour work day. Oh a whole, I absolutely love this phone for calls, texts, email, internet, snapping and sharing pictures, and all of the other great features it includes. It's a great tool for work or personal use!

Great camera, browser and memory!

5

While this phone is more expensive than the regular Blackberry Curve, it's definitely worth it. The camera is incredible quality - just as good as my regular camera! There is a memory card so you can store and transfer tons of data including music, photos, contacts and videos. You can write documents on it, and the phone comes with apps like Twitter and Facebook that you just have to activate. The texting is great- looks just like an iphone with an instant messenger style, and all conversations save. The only downside is the shorter battery life, but that could just be because I want to use this amazing phone so much more!

BB Bold 9650 - A Great Phone

5

The 9650 Bold is a great phone overall.  The keys have a great feel.  The battery lasts much longer than my other blackberries I have owned.  i switched from the 8520 - do even think of getting that model - nothing but problems over and over.
