Blackberry 8830 World Phone —

Blackberry 8830 World Phone

My husband is self-employed which offers us the luxury of lots of family time and family travel but it is imperative that he is "connected" to his business along the way.  Once upon a time, a lap top and a cell phone allowed him to go but always tagged along.  A couple of years ago he invested in a Blackberry and was impressed that he could get any e-mail or fax message anywhere, even in the middle of a river.

Then the Blackberry 8830 World Phone came available and he decided to try it.

The result: We ditched the cell phone all together and use the Blackberry 8830 World phone exclusively.  It is a small, sleek hand held office that allows us to take and make calls, send and receive e-mails and use the internet anywhere.  We've traveled from Virginia to Montanna this year and so far we haven't found a spot where we didnt' have service.

The Blackberry 8830 World Phone offers:
*phone
*internet
*MP3 Player
*calendar
*address book
*memo pad

It has an easy to use "thumb ball" for scrolling.  The keys are small but it designed in a way that it can really be used with one hand.  Sorry, no camera folks but that was never a feature he used on his camera anyway.

Our Viewpoint:  The Blackberry 8830 World Phone offers a convenient bundle of phone and internet services with really reliable service.

You should review it then and talk about the international feature that many of us haven't used:)

I've got the same phone, and it does rock. I used the international feature last trip abroad and was really impressed. It works as well in Marrakech as it does in Portland.

Amazing. What a non-burdensome way to stay connected with the world. Good review!

My sister has a Blackberry that allows you to take a picture and put the picture with the person's name and phone number. Then when they call in you have a picture ID rather than a caller ID. Does your phone have that feature?

Me too -- but the service costs for two of us just about knocked me out.
