Most HelpfulYes, it's small. Yes, it's cute! But, is it functional? When I am driving down the road wanting to make a business call? No! I couldn't find the button to retrieve clients numbers. I had this phone 28 days and returned it on the 29th day in time for a refund. I am computer savy, I am cell...
review »The phone I bought is a Blackberry 8830 World Phone. I bought this phone to replace a Palm Centro. I use the phone through Verizon. To use this phone, I only need one hand and it all works from the trackball and keyboard. You don't need a stylus, like you do with the Palm. Also, i needed to use the phone in Europe and the Palm does not work there. The only thing really missing from the Blackberry World Phone is a camera. But I carry two cell phones, and the other one has a camera, so I didn't need that. The email is easy to set up. You can download applications that work great. ...
review »This is an excellent phone for the world traveler. It supports multiple forms of cell signals and can therefore work just about any where. I have used this phone in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, England, Germany and Italy with no problems. The phone has great features and is well designed (although it could be a little smaller).
Have had no luck since day one (2 years ago)! Phone constantly resets itself, bad phone clarity battery dies quickly. Email works well but the internet is slow, not sure if this is the phone or the service I use. Would not buy this model use a different blackberry
love the phone but would like it if someone had advaible different keys to place on the blackberry
I almost love my 8830 because it's almost great. Solid service with Verizon, except for the carrier's refusal to enable the GPS without a subscription. Good phone except for an occasional lockup and an inability to hang up after flashing over to a waiting call. Nice display but no camera.
But overall it's reliable for email and reasonably well built.
