I have had this phone for less than a week and I absolutely love it. It totally nails the three things that I need in a phone: 1) text messaging, 2) email and 3) phone. I thought that losing the side scroll wheel might be an issue, but the new trackball design is a much more efficient.

It is an awesome devce-defnitely an upgrade in terms of profile and functionality--i even used the voice dialing feature by accident and found that it is great! Even though it doesn't work about 20% of the time--it's a cool feature and as more and more states enact hands free laws, it'll be a necessity. But that's just one of the things i love--i love the trackball, the video and audio player and the navigation. And if you're using a treo, you're on borrowed time. As someone who went through 10+ treos, and only a few upgrades, i finally got tired of the constant quality problems that i encountered

So are those three needs in order? If so, I think it's an interesting trend that more and more people use mobile "phone" devices for primarily non-phone activities.
