Black and Decker Toaster Oven - TRO355 Review

My Toastmaster Toaster Oven - which unfortunately they don't make anymore, lasted me the first 10 years of my marriage.  My husband and I shopped for months before deciding on this B&D Toaster Oven.  I like to bake small batches of cookies and toast items almost daily - like tortillas and cheese for my daughter.  Unfortunately, toaster companies don't make the push button toaster anymore.  Only Dial toasters which are horribly unreliable. 

This Oven part takes as long as my gas range oven to heat up that I usually end up using my gas range instead.  It is also more complicated, because you have to turn 2 knobs just to get the oven part to turn on (one temperature, one time).

The Toaster part takes twice as long (if not longer) than my old Toastmaster did just to toast toast and often time I have to toast it more than once.

This week (14 months after purchase) the top burners (BOTH OF THEM) just stopped working.  I turned it to broil (hotest setting) and could stick my hand into the oven after 5 minutes and it was barely warm (REALLY DID DIE).  Also, unlike, my old Toastmaster Toaster Oven this B&D Toaster Oven is unsafe because it did not stop toasting when you opened the door, making it easier to burn yourself.  THIS TOASTER SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET!
