Black and Decker Iron - D2020 Review

Black & Decker Model D2020 Iron. 

 It's a throw away product and unless you expect it to be a reliable appliance that lasts a reasonable length of time, don't buy it.  Ours lasted approximately 2 years.  It worked fine until one day it overheated when plugged into a power outlet, spit out a lot of brown fluid, and died.  The cleaning feature was always used, but apparently didn't keep it clean inside.  I normally fix most things that fail or need repair, but this product doesn't appear to be repairable.  It's assembled with 2 tamper proof screws which are easily defeated, but complete disassembly to the failed component doesn't appear to be possible.
