Black and Decker Cordless Power Scissors —

I saw the black and orange scissors several times at Lowe's before I decided to purchase them. For someone who usually buys scissors at the local dollar store for fear that the children will take them and never return them, $20 bucks seemed like a bit much for me to spend. I finally made my mind up that, if I didn't like them, they could always be returned. This decision has been a pretty darn good one ever since.
My first knowledge of the Black & Decker Rechargable scissors were on a commercial. A family friend had received a pair as a gift and told me how much she loved hers. I personally thought she was crazy, who in the world could LOVE scissors? As I stated before, I kept checking them out and finally decided to purchase a pair for myself. I finally understood why she LOVED her scissors so much.
Initially, you charge them for a few hours, turn them on and, depending on your usage, can use them forever on a single charge. They have an on/off switch, which I strongly recommend using to make the charge last even longer. They virtually cut through just about anything I have put my hands on. And you know those annoying plastic packages that you need a hack saw to cut through, they cut through those like solid butter!!
After keeping them a secret from my family, I decided to splurge somemore and get them as a Christmas gift for my mother. Well, to my suprise, they now come in different colors such as green, blue, and purple. I wanted the colored ones for myself but I couldn't "repackage" them to look new so I gave up the blue pair.
Not only did I get a great pair of scissors, but I didn't have a whole lot of Christmas presents to wrap because my teeanagers loved using them so much to cut the wrapping paper.
I would recommend anyone having a few bucks to slurge with, heading to Target, Lowe's or Wal-Mart (or any store like these) to buy them, especially if you have toys packages to open. They have been one of my best buys when it comes to making life a little bit easier with little annoying jobs. There isn't anything, yet, that I haven't been able to cut through.
