Yes it is true, you caught me red handed. The tool guy even found a Black and Decker Toaster Oven....lol So let me tell you about one of my favorite tools.

They did it again

Yes Black and Decker has used its exceptional knowledge of tools to build an awesome little appliance. This little oven takes up not much more room than a conventional toaster, but does oh so much more. I have had this for about 8 months and from what I have seen so far it is the same quality as their tool line.

What you can do

First it will toast 4 slices of bread at once and that is a good thing but that only scratches the surface. Speaking of toasting, I use it to make a grease free grilled cheese sandwich, which is a lot healthier for you. I can also take a single portion of fish and set this thing to broil and again no greasy fish. Just add your seasonings, set it to broil and 10 minutes later a nicely browned healthy lunch. I can even bake me a couple of fresh biscuits in this thing, set it too 375 and in about 11 minutes. The bake temperature goes to 450 degrees and it has a 15 minute timer.

The Controls

You have three knobs on the front, one for bake/broil, which also has your temp control. The temperature control goes from 250 to 450. The next would be your timer which goes to 15 minutes and last is your toaster control, of course it goes light to dark. Although more of a safety addition than control, there is also a door switch that shuts it down when you open the door. I like that and they also put shields over the heating elements to prevent splattered grease from contacting the elements. There is also a pretty blue power light just below the controls and a bell goes off when the timer hits zero.

Bottom line

As I listed in the cons section the door handle gets pretty hot so you want to be careful after you bake or broil something in it. The glass door is easy to clean as is the rack and little pan they supply you with. Even though it is small it still has a few different adjustments for the rack height. That's a nice plus to this already great little toaster oven.

I know what some are saying, yes I can hear it now. "I wonder if Black and Decker made a truck if he would buy it?" Well in a simple easy answer.........Yes I would, if they put as much knowledge and quality into a truck as they do with tools and appliances, I would be first in line to buy one!
