Black & Decker Toast-R-Oven Review

We got this toaster oven as a gift a few years ago. We really didn't pull it out of the box until just over 6 months ago. In a house with no oven (and maintenance that refuses to replace the damn thing), this toaster oven was a God-send. After years of resorting to microwaving almost everyting, we could finally cook things in a way that wouldn't leave them soggy and smelling funny. The toaster oven came with a single rack that can be moved up, down, or center, and a non-stick tray. The tray eventually wore out, covered in baked on grease and grime that is now impossible to remove, but trays this size are hard to come by so we just cover it in tin foil and use it anyway. Over time, the oven loses its intial power when toasting and you may have to set it to "medium" instead of "light" if you really do want it light. Cleaning the oven is kind of a hassle because it's so small and you have to avoid the heating units, lest you disturb something. Still, overall, a great product. Really efficient. I do recommend it.
