Black & Decker Toast-R-Oven Review

We were given the Black & Decker Toast-R-Oven for a house warming gift and were very excited because we felt it would be a great toaster oven.  We were just going by the name brand itself because it is a brand name most people know and love. We were very much disappointed! It is sooooo slow!  I could use my 2 slice toaster and make 6 slices of toast in the time it takes to make 4 in the toaster oven. You have to start the toaster long before you even think of starting the eggs.   Another thing that is very annoying is that the slices in the back will get half burnt before the toast in the front even gets a slight tan.  The broiler works fine. and so does the oven.  It cooks the food in the time it is expected to cook it in.  One last thing that also annoys me about this toaster oven.  The ticking for the timer is loud.  There is no reason that they needed to make the noise loud on the ticking. It only ticks me off! You are best off staying away from the Black & Decker Toast -R-Oven and trying a brand that toasts faster!
