I've had mine for three seasons now. I thouroughly enjoy not having petroleum fluids around and spilling, the ability to simply turn it over to clean, or more likely, see that I don't have to, the quiet experience of electricity and the flip over handle.
But the mower just doesn't cut as well as my very-old Snapper or self-propelled and hated Toro.
I did notice that it cut my neighbor's much thinner lawn with ease. I grow my lawn at 3", it is thick. I try to never take off more than 1" at one time. I obviously cut my lawn often, but it is enjoyable and I've got the time. Using the side discharge instead of the mulching feature did not seem to make much difference. I keep my blades very sharp, I had presumed when I first used and was disappointed with the cutting that the blade had come from factory dull, but it was very sharp. Blade does not provide any "lift" like the Snapper or Toro, so if lawn is damp, it will leave wheel tracks. I wish B&D would come out with a blade with propeller attributes so it would lift better, but I think the motor discharges the cooling air downward, so there is a conflict. This mower does everything well but cut grass, but I still would buy it again.
