Don't bother if buying to cut down foot tall grass.

The weight of this product was good considering I have a bad back. I was trying to cut down grass that has grown to about 1 ft tall. This trimmer will not cut this. black & decker grass hog is a great trimmer but runs down quickl

It took a month to get my black and decker grass hog after paying for it. The trimmer works nice but the battery loses power quickly.

I'ts lightweight and does a great job!

Due to my carpal tunnel, I've had trouble with other trimmers in the past because of bulk and weight. I really like the Black & Decker NST2018Grasshog 12-Inch 18-Volt Cordless String Trimmer/Edger. It is lightweight and gets the job done. I find it easy to use in any direction that I need to. I am able to trim and edge my front lawn and back yard in no time flat.

There is also not alot of vibration from the machine. This makes it much easier for me to handle. I no longer need to stop several time to rest my arms.

Even though the battery life is a bit short, it came with a second battery...

Love Not Having Gas Engine

a do-it-yourselfer, budget conscious, interested in good gas mileage, expecting good, fair service

I've owned this for 8 years and love it. Not being tied to a cord or having to mess with gas and oil and pull starts is great. Cuts very well even with the tough St. Augustine we have here in Florida, that passes for grass. I opted to purchase the silver 18 volt batteries instead of the normal Firestorm or Black and Decker type. They last much longer. I also have the 18 volt cordless blower and love it too.

never go cheap again, pay the money for the cordless!!

too busy to make beds, a do-it-yourselfer, picking up after pets, needing outside help

We decided to try the cordless weed eater with the rechargable battery instead of the gas powered, since we had such trouble getting it started after storing through the fall/winter months. We were concerned that the battery would not give enough power but it works great!! I also own a weed eater with a cord but i will probably never use it again because the new cordless works so well.

i bought the Black & Decker "Grasshog" cordless weed trimmer last summer (08). It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. It worked great all last summer and fall. Then this spring when I used it, both batteries would not hold a charge. I could not even finish my small yard without both going dead. When I went to the hardware store to buy a new one, the bin was empty, so I assumed everyone else has this same problem. For the $100 investment, I'll buy a small gas operated one next. Disapppointed!

The Black and Decker cordless string trimmer is agile and easy to handle. A fully charged battery is enough to do the whole back yard of my townhouse.
