Harder to work than it appears

We bought this handheld can opener because it didn't take up much space on the counter, came with a charging station, was a Black & Decker item and looked easy enough. From day one, my children (13 and 11) AND my husband all had a hard time attaching it to a can and opening the lid. I was pretty much the only one who could work the thing. After a while, the blade began to bend and then I couldn't even attach it to the can and get it to work anymore. I believe there are probably better hand held can openers out there; I wouldn't recommend getting this one.
