Black & Decker Countertop Convection Oven Review

The Black & Decker Countertop Convection Toaster Oven was a big disappointment.  It is a beautiful appliance and absolutely huge--it can hold a small frozen pizza.  But we generally use our toaster oven to make toast, and this oven does the job very poorly.  The toast is burned on one side and raw on the other.  It's nearly impossible to regulate the darkness of the toast, and no matter what position in the oven we put the bread, the toast does not come out well.

The convection feature is nice but you cannot turn it off.  If the oven is on, the convection is on.  For those unfamiliar with convection cooking, the instructions in the booklet were not very helpful.  Basically we were told that trial and error is the way to go here.  That means you have to ruin your food a few times before you figure out how to adjust for convection cooking.

The convection fan is also very loud and makes the oven rattle around.

I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.
