This is not the best iron, but it was useful in a pinch.
We just bought this iron. I was sent out of town on a business trip last minute and had little time to get here. I was called and asked to make a four hour drive in six hours which only gave me minimal time to pack, clean up, lock up, and be prepared for a weeks worth of audit reporting. When we arrived, the hotel informed us that they only carry ironing mats and do not offer ironing boards. My boyfriend ran out and grabbed an iron at a local retailer and this is the one he bought. I am not overly impressed with it. On the positive side, this iron is not very heavy. It is light and easy to use. It is effective enough. I am using the ironing mat while I am here because no boards are available but when I place the mat on a desktop, this iron gets most of the wrinkles out. It takes a little longer to use, but in a pinch it has been okay. On the down side, this iron is taking a long time to use. It takes a while to heat up. I feel like I waited twenty minutes for the iron to get hot. The iron doesn't want to smooth out wrinkles around the pleats of my pants. I have to keep going over it. The iron is also corded and the cord doesn't swivel so I keep getting tangled and twisted. This iron also doesn't hold much water so I have to keep refilling it. Additionally the heat settings aren't very effective. This iron seems to keep a continual heat.
