I love that this heats things evenly I use it as a small oven more than a toaster. Its compact which is nice for small living spaces.

I owned a black and decker toast-r-oven in college and loved it so much that I received a new one as a wedding gift more than 7 years ago. BOTH actually still work. However, on the first one the toast button no longer functions properly. I use the newer one on a daily basis, probably twice a day or more! It works great for toasting, broiling, baking, reheating leftovers, etc. One of the few limitations would be it's size, it would be great if it were just a couple inches deeper. I also purchased an under cabinet attachment, which is a lifesaver for counter space! It also helps keep the area under the oven clean, as stray crumbs are easy to spot(instead of hiding under the whole unit). I love the removable crumb tray, very easy to clean. I do wish there was an easy way to clean it if something gets on the heating coil.

I have two of these Toaster Ovens. They come with a metal drip tray to put on top of the wire rack for cooking or heating messy foods. They have a crumb tray with a handle to remove it. The interiors are roomy enough for two big slices of bread, four English Muffin halves, or most frozen meals. They have timer and temperature knobs. The user's manual does not clearly explain this, but in order to broil, you just turn the temperature knob as high as it will go and then use the drip tray the same as you would to top-brown. The manual is unclear; it makes it sound like broiling is a separate function from baking or heating, but both top and bottom elements heat up regardless, which is why you use the tray if you don't want undersides heated. One caveat: BOTH ovens' "Toast" buttons stopped staying pushed in when pressed! I can still make toast, but have to set the Bake temperature and timer.
