A Powerful, Efficient Food Processor

4

Black & Decker PowerPro 2-in-1 Food Processor FP2620 is a powerful, efficient food processor that has served our family well for years. I originally used it to make my son's baby food, for which it worked extremely well. It easily blends food together to make it the perfect consistency, even when I needed food very fine and smooth. Now I use it for everything from salsa to curry paste to soups, and it never fails to do the job quickly. The assembly makes it easy to take apart and clean, and the suction on the feet means it will stay in place during use. It is a fairly loud machine, which is the only thing that I do not like about it because the noise scares the baby. That is, however, my only complaint about an overall excellent food processor.

My life save in the Kitchen

I cant imagine my day today cooking with out this little helper. I use it for kneading the dough , cutting the vegetables, for purees , making juice etc. Have been using it for past 6 months and so happy that I purchased it. the wide mouth give easy to remove the food inside from the jar. and sufficient quantity can be filled in the jar. does not start until properly mounted. Took little trial and error to discover it though. Comes with variety of blades to have different jobs done. One can change it as per needed. Cleaning is little pain but big jars and small parts goes in the dishwasher. only problem is you immediately rinse it . looks stylish to go on counter top. Does not take much space. easy to store.

This Black & Decker PowerPro does wonders in the kitchen. What I love most of all is power behind the blades. When you add your ingredients and start to crush them, it's done in a few seconds... perfectly. I would highly recommend the Black & Decker PowerPro to the chef in your life.

My Black and Decker Power Pro is simple enough to use every day.

The Black and Decker Power Pro food processor is a great addition to my kitchen. It's easy to use and clean. I love the suction feet to hold it steady on my counter top. The wide mouth option is great for slicing or grating large items. I don't have to cut up a potato before I slice it so it saves time. It also looks very nice. I love the dough blade and use it often. The only problem I have with it is when I grate cheese, it tends to ball up a bunch of it between the lid and the blade.

Oustanding Food Processor, something I would expect from B & D.

I was given this as a present, my husband bought this Top of Line Model. Being a stay at home mom at the time, I had time to chop. What was I going to do with this. Well, I finally started to use it. I think the first thing I made was pie crust because I had seen it being made on T.V. and thought man that looks easy for mixing. So there is where I started, very simple to use, and it has held up over the years. Just like a Pro!

Rough start

4

I received this as a gift from my husband. I grate cheese at home, chop a great deal of onions, and make my own bread crumbs. I also use a food processor for many other things. I have never had a food processor that had this amount of cup capacity's. the ten cup capacity makes it wonderfully easy to use, and still have room as i add items without it coming out of the cup. I have tested the machine with many veggies, slicing and dicing. So far, everything comes out even and uniform. It also hasn't turned delicate items into mush. The controls are more than simple, only two buttons. I have only had one issue of the machine not performing easily. After using the processor a couple times, I dug it out to make some bread crumbs, put everything together, and it wouldn't come on. I tried over and over, for some reason it would NOT lock no matter what i did. I was surprised, it had been so easy before. I tried for 20 mins and couldn't get it locked. The longer it took the madder i got. I even walked away and left a note for my husband to try to get the lid to lock when he got HOME. Sad, but true. When i came back home from work my husband informed me that he couldn't get it to lock either. I walked back to the machine, tried again, and the dang lid just popped on and locked with no problem whatsoever. I was so discouraged I couldn't get it to work the first time. But, in the process of trying to get the lid to lock, it cracked. We tried that hard to get it lined up and locked that it caused a stress fracture. It was like the slot the lid connects to was locked. In the case of the lid that didn't lock, and cracked, I had filled out the warranty info on line and contact the warranty center. I explained to the warranty center that the lid hadn't locked, i only used the processor two times, and the cup was now cracked. They have been wonderful about the entire process, my new, free, processor food cup is one the way.

Black & Decker PowerPro is a Good Value

4

The Black & Decker PowerPro is fairly inexpensive compared to other similar food processors. I make my own baby food, so I use the food processor to puree food on a weekly basis. So far, this product has worked great. There are several different attachments that are included that allow you to use the processor for many different functions (i.e. slicing, shreding, etc). I have found that at times it is diificult to get the pieces to align correctly. On several occasions, I have spent several minutes taking apart and putting the food processor back together to get it to work. There are also several pieces, so when you clean the food processor the clean-up takes a few minutes to complete. Overall, I would recommed this to a friend.

Great Food Processor!

4

I was so thrilled to find a Food Processor that matched all of my other appliances, I didn't really pay attention to what I was buying. I was very pleased to find out how great a processor this is! I use this for all sorts things from grating carrots to making almond flour. It's really versatile. The blade is super sharp and chops through anything with ease. You do sometimes have to give a little stir if you're processing a lot of ingredients but other than that, this processor does the job great. It comes with a disc for grating and slicing and a blade for processing. Everything comes apart easily and all the pieces are easy to clean. I love the safety feature on this blender. It will only start if it's locked in to place at the base and at the very top. It was a great price too. I'd definitely recommend this!

Gets the job done, but not a useful dough mixer

4

I bought this model over another one I was considering specifically because it had a dough blade. I assumed that since this was one of the advertised features that it would be good for such a purpose. Not so much. I have a stand mixer as well as a bread machine, so it's not like I have or intended to use this to make large batches of bread dough or anything, but especially when making dessert crusts and things that require chopped nuts or something I thought it would be helpful to be able to mix the dough using the food processor to avoid dirtying another dish. It's not that this doesn't get the job done, but rather that the rod in the middle keeps being pushed up when using it to mix stiffer doughs. It's actually melted the top of the rod a little from the friction. I'm not talking about having the mixing/workbowl full either so it's not as if it should have overloaded its capabilities. It has a 10 cup work bowl and my dough might have been two or three cups. I ended up having to dump it in a bowl and mix it with a hand mixer to integrate the dry ingredients that had worked under the dough blade. This is a great machine for all the basics though. It shreds, slices, and chops quite well. The chute is big enough to feed food through without allowing things to sling out at you, which I dealt with when using my previous food processor. I especially like that this has suction cup feet so it sticks to the counter. That will no doubt help eliminate many possible messes in my kitchen.

Love my food processor

4

I got this for Christmas last year and I love it. It is so simple to use and makes my life so easy. Sometimes I literally wonder what I did before I had it. I make my own baby food, and the large capacity enables me to make a big batch at once and freeze it. It has also simplified one of my favorite recipes for broccoli cauliflower salad. It used to take forever to chop the veggies, now I can just throw it in my food processor. Actually the first time I did that, I got a little trigger happy and kind of pulverized the broccoli and cauliflower. Its got one heck of a sharp blade. The latest use for my food processor was a cheesecake for thanksgiving. It was so quick and easy and really made the filling nice and smooth and creamy. I like that it is easy to take apart and clean, all except for the lid. There is a little groove around the rim of the lid to lock it onto the bowl and it is forever getting bits of food mashed into it, sometimes making it hard to get the lid locked on. I am learning to scrape the rim of the bowl before putting the lid on. Overall, I love this. It is very functional and it is very sleek looking.
