I have got this blender for more than three years and it is still working in perfect condition. However, I am not a regular user, only once or twice a month. The blender was accidentally cracked by putting hot liquid in so now I try not to use it to blend ice. As advertised, the motor is strong enough for crushing ice but it would take a while to reach the consistency (no big chunks) and sometimes you can smell the plastic being heated up. At this point, just stop for a few seconds then continue. The only thing I do not like about this blender is the assembly process. When I first used it, I couldn't put everything back together in the right order but after a few uses, this has become a routine.

I have to admit that I didn't use my blender much until this past summer. My daughter had stopped gaining weight and they were concerned that she was growing as tall either. Her doctor suggested we start supplementing her meals with shakes and that's when we realized how handy this blender really is! There are different settings, so I could add the fruit and blend them to whatever consistency I wanted, add the yogurt and the milk, and we've got something good. Milk shakes are super easy in this as well. It can even handle the ice cubes (small) that I put in it. I'm not sure how it would do with the regular size cubes though. It's even great to create my husband and my favorite alcoholic drinks in the summer. =) The blender has ended up being a pretty good and needed addition to our kitchen.

I Have used the Black and decker 10 speed blender it works good and the price is also ok. I had a problem after using it for some 3 months with the blade assembly set,first the customer service representative was not helpful. I would say i had used it pretty hard, but later when  i called they are helpful and replaced the blade assembly set and i am able to use it as usual.   I would recommend this for any one looking for a basic blender at an affordable price. I brought this on buy.com but i think you can buy at any walmart or local stores which sell household items at reasonable prices the warrenty is for 1 year.

I have used this blender since we were married 6 years ago. It still works well-just as well as when we got it for a wedding shower gift. I would say it is a mid-range blender and a very good value for the price. I use it mostly for grinding oatmeal to make cookies and for making soups and baby food. It works well for those things. It also works really well for making fresh applesauce. It does get warm and bogged down when trying to grind something heavier like nuts. It's not as sturdy as the blenders we had growing up (it seemed those were indestructible!), but it does work just fine for most of our needs right now. It would be highly recommended for students and singles just starting out, as it would serve many needs and would probably work well for a number of years beyond that. If you are not looking to spend a lot of money on a blender and want one that works for many purposes, this is the one for you!
