Here's what I love about this lawnmower. It is very easy to use this mower on any type of surface where grass grows. The majority of my lawn is on a hill, so I have to guide the mower up and down the very steep slope in order to mow my grass. Using this mower makes a rather difficult job easier to do because of the lightweight structure of this unit. Performance it does a great job cutting my grass. I has several different types of grass on my property, which sometimes calls for different mowers to cut the grass. I have several lawnmowers, and I have only had to use this one this past summer. Handling It is very easy to handle this mower because it is lightweight an super easy to maneuver. Durability Very durable, as I have a steep hill in front of my home with crap grass that is somewhat different to cut, this does it effortlessly. Safety Very safe to use, I have experienced no safety issues when using this model as those areas that are potentially hazardous are pretty well covered. Ease of Use Easy to use. Engine Power Great horse power on this unit.

Ha! We just bought this mower this summer! We have an 8-acre property with 3 acres turned into a prairie, plus landscaping, house, etc.. The gist is that we have a LOT of grass to mow. My husband and I and/or our daughters try to do it together with one using a rider the other using a push and someone using a trimmer. I actually do not mind using the push mower because it's good exercise, so I got fairly familiar with this cordless mower. I was the one who actually pushed (pun intended) my hubby to buy this one because of the fact you don't need to use gas OR oil, therefore, NO EMISSIONS. Now he doesn't care about the environmentally responsibility part of the mower because it has turned out to be one of the best mowers we've ever used. I asked my husband what he liked about it for this review, and he says because it's super easy to adjust the blade height that moves all 4 wheels at once. Just by one push of the finger. I'm the one that primarily uses it as I mow around the trees, shrubs, landscaping to make it easier for him to just mow with his big rider. Since I like the exercise, I don't mind having to use a little extra muscle to push it. Sometimes my hands ache or my palms will hurt after lots of mowing but I have never had that issue with this one. That is a real plus in my book. The only reason I did not give this mower a 10 is because I have to recharge it before I'm done mowing. Now maybe it wouldn't matter what mower I used because I have so much to do that the mower is bound to run out of battery, but it seems to me it could last a lot longer than it does. Still, I don't have grass flying all over the place as it goes into its bag nicely, it's easy to turn on and off, easy to clean by either just brushing off with a broom or giving it a good spray with the hose. You can't imagine how nice it is not to have to mess with oil and gas and the expense and stinkiness of it all.

I bought this mower last year on sale at a hardware store. I thought it would be much better than our old crappy gas mower. I love this mower! Very little maintenance, which is perfect for our busy family. You simply charge it, insert a key, pull a lever, and it's good to go. The charge allows us to mow the front and back yard, but we live in the historic part of the city. The houses are pretty close together and we have a small backyard, and pretty much no front yard. I imagine if you have a large back yard it would be a 2 day job. I haven't had many problems. I think the tires are starting to go bad and they will need replaced this year. No motor troubles. The grips are sort of cheap, so I had to buy new ones. That's the only reason I didn't rate it higher. Great price, no gas, environmentally friendly, handles nicely, easy to put together. I would recommend it to anyone, but it's best for people with smaller yards.

Overall, this is not a bad mower for smaller yards. The battery is quite heavy which makes the mower heavy and having 2 batteries is a must for us. Performance The mower performs well. We find it best to go a little slower than with a conventional gas mower. Handling The weight and the shape make it a bit difficult for me, 5'2", to handle. Durability My husband has been using this mower for about 2 years now. He thinks it will last a long time as there are basically no replaceable parts such as spark plugs, filters, etc. He just cleans it up after each use. Safety Can't think of any safety issues other than keeping body parts and other items away from the blade. With a conventional mower, spilling gasoline while filling the tank can be an issue - but not with this mower. Ease of Use I gave it an 8 simply because of the weight. Also, the battery needs charging often. We have 2 batteries. This allows plenty of power to finish both the front and back yards with no issues. Engine Power It has plenty of power for a smaller yard. I would say a conventional mower is still best for larger yards.

This lawn mower is great. My kids like to make a little extra change by mowing the lawns of our neighbors. I even make them mow our lawn first for their weekly allowance. I like how this lawn mower is cordless because now we can lawn as far as possible without worrying about pulling the plug out. This lawn mower is also just at the right height for all of us. This lawn mower is genius. We have not had it for that long so I do not what I can say about its durability and the like. I also find the aerodynamic design of this lawn mover to be interesting. Since it is an electric mower, it is much quieter than our old lawnmower. The color is okay is guess, but that does not really matter anyway. It mows quite nicely. It is similar to our vacuum cleaner, where it gains momentum and drags itself forward a bit after pushing it for a while. I would recommend this lawn mower to anyone that has a lawn.

I love this lawn mower! Its my first electric lawnmower and I couldn't be happier with this purchase! I charge the battery the night before I mow the lawn, and then the next day I put the battery in and begin mowing. I'm able to do the front and back and the battery still has power in it!

I have had this mower for 2 years and it has never given me any problems. It handles thick grass without bogging down and mulches beautifully. The bag allows me to put the clippings in a compost or bag for disposal. I leave it plugged in all the time so when the grass need cutting, I just pull the handle and go. The best part is there is no gas to buy or store, no spark plugs to change or oil to add. It runs quiet, so I can cut my grass anytime without disturbing the neighbors who might sleep in. I had a cordless Black and Decker for 5 years and then I gave it to my daughter when I purchased this one. She is still using it and it runs great. That's why it was not a hard decision to go with another Black and Decker. This mower is great and I would recommended it to everyone.

Picked up the Black & Decker CM1836 Cordless Electric Mower over the weekend. We have thick grass and usually it takes a few passes with the manual one we used to use. With the Black & Decker CM1836 Cordless Electric Mower it worked like a charm cutting down thick blades of grass and thicker weeds. It takes about 10 hours to charge for the first go around, and after that a good overnight charge for an all day mowing is necessary. It works very well for electric. It doesn't have the power that a gas mower has but it certainly does the job while saving the environment (GHG emissions). The bag is easy to clean out and the blades itself stay rather clean once the grass dries on them. I would recommend this mower if you are looking for a environmentally friendly machine.

There are many people who love to do gardening work at home, and so I will talk about this Black and Decker mower model CM1836. Obviously, this will be of interest only to those who have a garden at home and are gardening lovers. This mower is ideal for medium-sized gardens. It has a powerful, efficient motor that is really quiet. And besides, we can simply wash with water. Its shape and design is lightweight and easy to use, so we will not have to be in awkward postures when working and very comfortable we will do our work. As for cutting data, we are talking about a cut of 18 inches for medium lawns and adjustable to different heights, which can leave the yard to our liking. The system and cutting mechanism is rotatable. Finally and referring to the deposit, it has a rear bag that catches the grass as we cut it. RECOMMENDED FOR POTENTIAL GARDENERS!

We went from a regular gas driver lawn mower that we had for 5 years and had problem after problem with.  This one, we love.  First it's electric!  It is corded which can be difficult but once you get used to it, it's really easy to navigate the cord where you need it while keepng it away from the mower blades.  It's super light, easy to manuver and really, really quiet.  No one has ever said anything but I'm sure our neighbors appreciate how much quieter it is than our old one!  It cuts well but sometimes, when the grass is really long I might have to go over a row a second time.  That's the only reason I'm rating a 4 instead of a 5.  I love how easy it is to start and stop.  You just pull the level around the handle and it starts instantly.  It stops just as quickly.  No messing with stinky gas cans that are usually almost too heavy for me to lift!  No pulling a cord, no fumes.  A win all the way!
