Black & Decker Cordless Drill —

I still after all these years cant believe Sears still stands behind this product, Ever since I can remember everyone I know that owned any black and decker product felt that it did not last, and was always breaking. Personally the only Black and decker tool that lasted for me was a belt sander, I got about 18 months out of it, and have not owned any black and decker for 15 years, anyone who buys me one for a gift it gets returned for hand tools..

I can't agree with you. it also would have helped if you had listed the model number/s you had problems with.

I've owned a lot of Black & Decker and they've all worked admirably, my 12V Black&Decker Firestorm drill lasted far longer than the 18V Craftsman drills I used. My Firestorm lasted for 7 years, as opposed to the 2 years each on the 18V Craftsman (I had THREE craftsmans drills, all died within two years.)

Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you get a bad one, few manufacturers are perfect...it also depends on how well you maintain your equipment as to how long it will last...
