The Black & Decker DustBuster has immensly improved over the years. Remember the first ones? No suction and the batteries didn't last long. A waste of money. However! I've found that the latest DB model with 14.4 volts of cleaning suction power is the most convenient way to quickly clean your floors or anywhere you have crumbs, dirt or pet hair. Notice I did not say it would pick up whole cookies, candy wrappers, marbles, or other items that the big vacuum can get. I have two German Shedders and a fluffy cat. I keep a Dust Buster on every floor of my 3 story town home for convenience. One cleans up tracked in dirt, leaves and dead lizards (courtesy fo the cat) on the first floor; one picks up pet hair on the hardwoods on the second floor; and the third DB picks up my hair and cat litter on the tile in the 3rd floor bathroom. It's easy, fast, inexpensive and light weight. I seriously can't live without my DustBusters. Once a month I take the cone filter thingys outside and whack on the driveway to clean. Then they go right in the dishwasher. If you have pets, you MUST get a good DustBuster for your home and your sanity. Amen!
