The only thing I really want a blender to do well is finely grate ice. This does a great job of making ice fine and leaves few chunks. Blending Power With ten different settings, one can certainly find a power that fits the job. I can grind ice, chop vegetables and make smoothies and shakes quickly and they taste great Versatility This is not a replacement for a food processor. It is beast for things you need macerated and blended with liquids. Ease of Cleaning The container rinses easily.The entire blending unit comes apart so that cleaning the various pieces is easy and convenient. I find that this is an easy appliance to clean Ease of Use Just put in your items, add liquid, cover and choose your speed. Design I particularly like the glass rather than plastic container. The only issue is that if the appliance is plugged in and the top blending container is off, if you accidently touch the buttons, the machine turns on and the motor spins the top. This can be a danger.
