If you can handle reading subtitles this movie is an absolute blast! super intense and really engrossing black book will appeal to any adult, especially if you are like me, a wwiii fan or history buff!
the characters are realistic and believeable in this time of the end of wwii, the action is wild and the historical and plot twists are great

the story centers on holland at the end of the war, and a jewish woman who joins the resistance to avenge her family from not only crooked jews but of course the germans, she ends up being kinda in the middle and i swear there is not a boring second in... read full review »

Black book is a very American looking film produced in Europe. It is a bit predictable but does have enough suprises along the way to keep one engaged. Interesting to see a WWII film that is not directly connected to Hitler's Germany or American efforts to liberate. Yet the film still captures and the dangers and horrors endured by the Jewish population. Worth seeing if you don't mind subtitles. Ultimately, it is a European effort to shoot a very American looking film.
