Bisto Zinc delivers quality French food and atmosphere

Bistro Zinc seeks to create an authentic French bistro experience in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. Having recently dined there with my wife and another couple, I would say they have succeeded admirably.

The atmosphere is charming and distinctly European, with a long red leather bench down one side of the restaurant, bistro style tables and chairs, and an ornate bar along the other wall. We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't particularly busy, but there was a nice hum of activity and conversation.

Poor food, miserable service.

When I complained about my food, the manager told me he was sorry I came to his restaurant with my problems.

Business must be good if they can afford to treat customers this way.
