Bissell Steam Mop Reviews

The Bissell Steam Mop cleans so very well, and so quickly.  But attaching the mop pad is next to impossible!  After a few feeble attempts, I called the 800 number, and the person answering suggested wetting the pad first so it would stretch more easily over the steam head.  They also sent a couple of FREE pads!  Trying the wet pad system worked a tiny, tiny bit better.  It's still a terrible struggle to get the entire pad flat on the surface of the steam head.

The Bissell steam mop has changed my life for the better! I am the type to use disinfectant and a mop, rinsing out the mop in the sink before re-dipping it in the disinfectant as not to spread the dirty water around. I have arthritis in the knees and in the spine and doing it that way was quite a strain. Two wringings for every small area mopped! OUCH!

And I don't think those disposable pad mops are that great......

Then I saw the Bissell steam mop demonstrated and read almost every single review on the internet. I was very impressed. When the mop arrived, it took about two minutes to assemble and...

i saw the reviews for this mop on this site... ended up buying it from HSN.com... and i adore it!!! i've been looking for a good mop for my floor for so long! we put in saltillo tile last year and have had the hardest time cleaning it!!! i can't use any chemicals on this tile, so this mop is great in that i just use water. and i don't have to worry about using the nasty water in a mop bucket or my sink. the pads are so easy to just throw in the washer to clean. and the floor dries quickly.

the only con to this is that we have wide grout lines that tend to dip down a bit, so water does collect some...

So in a very unusual move for me, I saw this product on a home shopping channel (serioulsy, i was just channel surfing.)  ON a whim, I decided to get it.  Quite frankly the best purchase I have ever made.  WIth a 1.5 year old and another on the way- i am no stranger to messes, but have become a stranger to having spare time on my hands!  With the health benefits of germ killing steam and the fact that it takes only water and not harsh chemicals, that is very important to me with little ones near the floor!  And time wise- its wonderful! I can get my good-sized kitchen floor done in 2.5 minutes. ...

I purchased the Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop 2 weeks ago for my hardwood and marble floors. I must say I have tried several different options from regular sponge mops to Swiffer to the Floormate.  The Bissell Steam Mop is by far the best product when it comes to cleaning my floors.  It was very easy to assemble.  It is lightweight, heats up almost immediately when plugged in, easy to use and really gets the floors clean. I had been using my sponge mop and recently visited my cousin in Florida. She was using the Bissell Steam Mop and I couldn't believe how well it cleaned and how easy it was to use! No cleaners, just distilled water, (recommended for Filter life) but not necessary. It plugs in, heats up and your ready to go! It swivels, and gets into tight places with ease. No streaking either! My kitchen floor felt like it did the day they installed it! And one tank of water did my kitchen, utility room and main bathroom, with some to spare! If I had one con regarding the Bissell Steam Mop, it would be the cord....
