Bissell SpotBot Robotic Wet/Dry Vacuum Review

The Bissell Spot Bot really caught my eye.  When we had our daughter, I thought this would be the answer to all the oops that can happen.  I have to admit, I tried the Spot Bot on a grease stain our treadmill left on the bedroom carpet and it removed it flawlessly.  I used this wonderful "bot" on everything my child could spill and the mess my cats left behind.  I was impressed more everytime.  

Just after the warranty expired, things started happening.  First the brush on the bottom stopped working.  I was so happy with the Spot Bot I purchased another.  From the beginning, the suction on the rotating brush wasn't very strong.  After using the Spot Bot, we would have to use the hand tool to suck up a large amount of leftover water.  Then, the hand tool started leaking, the next day, the soap tank leaked out and all through the inside of the machine and onto my floor and smelled of mold and mildew.  I called customer service and was rudely told to take it to an authorized service center.  

I took this to my closest authorized service center, 45 minutes away.  A week later I was told to come and pick up my replacement machine, a refurbished one from Bissell. 

After 4 uses, this one is leaking through the machine and onto the floor.  I again called customer service where I was again rudely told to take it back to the service center.  

I'm sure not every Spot Bot is going to have these problems, but I honestly feel that the first Spot Bot I had was a better designed machine.  They made some changes to the Spot Bot after first releasing the product and I believe it has caused issues.  Perhaps you notice the issues the more you use your bot?  I honestly cannot say I would purchase another one.
