About four or five months ago I purchased the Bissell Spot Bot for about $110. Although I was a little skeptical about the claims-turn it on automatic, leave it over the spot, and let it run its cycle-I have been very pleased with it. I've owned two predecessor models, the Bissell Little Green Machine and the Little Green Machine Steamer Turbo. They both worked pretty good. The turbo was better because of the "Turbo" brush that came with it and the fact that it also heated the water (although it's not a true steamer-no matter what they say in the name). I was afraid without the heated water the Spot Bot couldn't do the job. But I was wrong. It does. I've only had one stain where it didn't take it completely out, but a little extra scrubbing with the regular cleaner brush and that spot came out. The only problem with the Spot Bot is it uses a lot of cleaner solution when put on automatic and I'm glad I kept one of the solution holders from the turbo unit because it holds even more solution than the Spot Bots' tank. This is a much better designed unit than the older ones, which leaked, and that's eventually why both of them failed on me. This one has the solution tank upside down compared to the others, so with the opening at the top, there's no way for it to leak. I give this one five stars. Great for animal stains.
