I bought this vacuum and ended up taking it back to the store. I bought it because it looked amazing on television. I thought that it would work like a carpet cleaner but lighter and easier to use. It gets the loose dirt out but I think my shark navigator did a much better job overall. I have two children under age 4 and they are constantly dropping food and drink so I wanted something to get it up easily. This is NOT it. The heat on it does get hot but other than that it's useless. I went back to using just spot removers and vacuuming. I vacuum my house twice a day everyday anyway. I think it's cheaper and more effective to use a spot cleaner and vacuum versus this machine. It's a little on the heavy side as well and bulky when it comes to trying to store it somewhere. I think if they could come up with a "slim" version maybe that would help out. Until then I'll stick to the old fashioned way!

This Bissell product is really good.I have always loved bissell products the way they clean but this isan awesome addition to my clean frenzy collection.i got this like 2 years back and when we had a new baby this was such a blessing to us.we have had carpet cleaners before and we also have used / rented out rugdoctor and other cleaners too but this one seamed really very good. it so happened that we had been out to rent a vaccum cleaner to clean the apartment just before we had our baby and the Rug doctor was out so we went and purchased this Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Deep Cleaner for within 300 bucks and it is soooo nice.. it works better than any other thing out there.. our carpet was white when we were done.. and no problm of waiting to dry nd all that stuff when u rent out too.. when we cleaned it had so much black stuff which cam out.. that shows how much work it does!!!

So we got our** Bissell 9500 Upright Steam Cleaner **as a gift from my mom for Christmas. So free is good, but this steam cleaner: not! Maybe I just got a bum machine? But here is my experience: the best thing that this **Bissell 9500 Upright Steam Cleaner **has going for it is the heat it puts out, I think it does help to clean well, but because it has two separate containers for water (1 for dirty and 1 for clean) you have to stop and refill and empty OFTEN. Which if you have a big room it takes forever to clean just that one room. Plus instructions say to not go over areas twice, so if it doesn't clean it up on the first pass you're out of luck unless you want a super soaker. This is quite the heavy machine, so I always make my husband use our **Bissell Upright Steam Cleaner **because I frankly get to frustrated with it. The other thing I can't stand about this carpet cleaner is that the suction does NOT adequately suck up all of the water that it let's loose, so you're left with very wet carpets, even if you follow the instructions and don't make several passes - just can't pull the wetness back up into the machine. We had to set up several fans in the living room just to dry it quicker. And with that my carpets instead of feeling sloshy and wet ended up feeling crunchy (not soft). **Bissell Upright Steam Cleaner**: not a fan! :-( Maneuverability This machine is very heavy, so it takes a lot of effort to maneuver it - great work out if that's what you're looking for. Ease of Maintenance There's not a whole lot of maintenance, other than cleaning your water out - and that is a pain. It seems like you're constantly refilling the water and emtying the water. Suction Performance I felt this machine failed on this! My carpets were left sloshy! It takes forever for my carpets to dry. Versatility Not much too this machine other than, throw down water - attempt to suck water up, refill, dump and repeat. Design I hate that this machine is so heavy; that's even before you fill it with the cleaner and the water. I'm always hurting my toes on this thing! Horrible for folks with a bad elbow or wrist! Durability The machine is still functioning after many years, but that's probably because most times now I just spot clean - this machine is too much of a hassel!

We're a busy family.  We have a toddler, and older children, and on family night we eat dinner and snacks while we watch movies in the living room; The problem is, our TV is in the living room, which is carpeted; The other problem is that we have a rental; So, we decided to purchase a steamcleaner; The Bissel 9500 Proheat 2x Cleanshot Deep Cleaner is what we chose to purchase.; Well, the day we bought it, I'm glad that my husband was there to help. The machine is pretty heavy, and learning all the ends and outs of the machine was a little time-consuming.; After reading all the instructions, we were able to set our machine into motion.; The first time we used the machine, it worked like a dream.; The carpet looked awesome!; But, the more we used it, the less awesome it was.; At the end of 1 month, the machine was no longer working.; I called the company, and they referred me to the local service center which happened to be over 2 hours from my home!; I was like, no way!; So, I exchanged the machine for a new one at the store that I purchased it.; Honestly, the machine is not worth the money.; It works really well for the first time, and after that it leaves chunks of carpet fibers, and even though we clean it after every use, it stinks; Also, if you want to switch from carpet cleaning to upholstry cleaning, it is ;pretty annoying;I wouldn't recommend purchasing this model, because I doubt that you will want to be stuck with it. Now, the replacement doesn't work at all, and we're going to have to invest in another unit. Suction Performance Leaves water on the floor and in the carpet Design Can't clean properly after use to prevent it from stinking. Durability I'm stuck with a replacement machine that doesn't work.

I have owned bissell deep cleaning upright machines for years now and they just keep getting better and better everytime a new model comes out. I've owned the previous two models of something similar to this one and both of them lasted well over three to four years each, and were used at least twice a week for carpets through out the house. This model is my third one and i've had it for a few months and it's better than ever with how professional and clean my carpets look every time i use it.This model is very easy to use and clean and it seriously makes your carpets look professionly done, if not better every time you use it. It's very powerful and picks up almost everything that is one your carpet from, dirt, crumbs, pet hair and it's always gotten every stain out that i have had in my carpets. This machine is worth every single penny that you pay for it and i promise you wont be dissapointed one bit.

The Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Deep Cleaner is a good vacuum cleaner. This product is nice to have if your carpets get soiled often. First, there is some assembly required for the vacuum cleaner. It is very simple and only requires a screwdriver. The tank is easy to fill with water and clean after using.  The dial on the Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Deep Cleaner lets you choose the type of cleaning you need. There are several options. You can select from a range of light or heavy traffic cleaning options. The attachments are incredibly useful and easy to attach to the vacuum cleaner.  There are only a few problems with the Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Deep Cleaner. First, it is heavy. This is one of the heaviest machines I have owned. Second, it is hard to move it around. If you need to move the vacuum cleaner upstairs to do a second floor, it is not easy to carry it up all the stairs. I kind of wish there was a lighter version of this product.

I love this Steam Cleaner. It got my carpets super clean. It even got out spots that the professional guys didn't! Love that it has a water rinse function as well. It has a bunch of great tools, including the handtool that has the rotating brushes on it as well--great for stairs and upholstery. There are only a few cons: -On the high traffic setting, it uses a lot of cleaning solution. So I used that setting sparingly.-It says it works on hard floors, and it does. But I was hoping that w/ the water heating function it would really get my grout very clean, but I think my Hoover Floormate does just as good of a job. Plus, the hard floor cleaner is impossible to find. -A lot of people complain that the water tank is a bit small, and I would agree w/ that. But it doesn't really bother me. Definitely worth the money!

The first thing that brought my attention to this Deep Cleaner was the fact that it was upright. I've tried other carpet cleaners in the past that were a real hassle because they were too bulky. It made them very inefficient to guide around the house. I also liked the fact that the Bissell had the additon of heat, which seems to work well with cleaning in general. The part of the machine that gets filled with water is very easy to lift off, fill with water, and put back on. It literally just sits on the cleaner's base and does not have to be clipped to it in anyway. The weight of the canister and the water combined help stabilize it. When using the Deep Cleaner, it is a very good idea to move slowly across the carpet. You want to give the machine time to do it's job. The machine comes with a "Hand Tool" attachment that is good for edges along the walls or hard to reach areas. To utilize the Hand Tool, you simply turn the setting on the machine to "Hand Tool" and you can automatically use it. The Deep Cleaner also has a few different settings: Rinse, Heavy Traffic, Normal, and Hand Tool. If you haven't cleaned your carpet in a long time, I suggest using the "Heavy Traffic", then "Rinse". After the first session, I just started using the "Normal" setting and my carpet seems to be pretty clean. The only thing I don't particularly like about the Bissell ProHeat 2X is that you do have to take it apart fairly often to clean all of the parts, which can be a hassle.

This machine has single handedly gave my more grief than any other appliance I have ever owned. It started out alright, until I used it to clean a hunter clean rug and it pulled the dye out of the rug onto my cream carpet. Maybe that was operator error so I didn't hold that against the machine. Then I went to clean the thing and made a bigger mess cleaning it than I had before I ran the machine, alot of debri trapped inside the nozzles and all over the bottom of the machine. That was alright though maybe I didn't vacuum good enough before I ran the cleaner. Well the next time I got it out to use it, it wouldn't suck the water up, it was only sucking up a very small amount, after repeatedly taking it apart and putting it together it started doing alittle better but it never seemed to have very good suction after that. A belt broke during its fourth use and that had to be replaced as well as another plastic component that broke off. It didn't seem to use a very good cleaner to water ratio, I felt it should have been taking in more cleaner and less water. The last time I used it the machine was working fine (fine being it's usual lousy cleaning ability) and three months later I go to set it up to use it and it wont spray out of the floor jets, it will spray out of the hand control but thats it. Huge waste of time and money!

I LOVE this machine, I use it all the time! Everytime my kids or husband spill something its, it my first choice! Its very easy to use! It really does heat the water temp above hot, it very quickly sucks up all water and leaves the carpet practically dry istantly! I recomment it to anyone with kids or pets and of course messy husbands! LOL
