Bissell Powerforce Bagless Review

     I'm always looking for a good product at a good price, and I believe I've found it!  I used to be a Housekeeping Supervisor in Healthcare and I also cleaned elderly apartments.  Cleanliness, time and convenience of products are very important in this field of work.

     The first time I saw this vacuum, the $45.00+ price tag caught my eye.  It's also not a heavyweight vacuum, either.  Then the first time I used it, I was impressed at how much "unseen dirt" it collected from the carpet!  Of course, then I had to experiment further and tried it on a carpet that had just been vacuumed with an ordinary bag vacuum.  The Bissell picked up dirt that the bag vac left behind!

     Then I had to experiment even further.  Two separate carpets...two separate vacuums.  One with a bag and one with the bagless Bissell.  When I emptied the vacuum bag, sure - there was a lot of dirt.  But the bagless Bissell had collected even MORE dirt than the vacuum with the bag!  I was definitely sold on the Bissell at this point. 

     And as far as the clean up goes....it's SO easy!  Just wash it out and leave it air dry!  I really like the fact that when you empty it, there's no mess and flying dust like there is when you change a bag.  Plus, the Bissell not only comes apart easily and rinses clean with soap and water, it also goes back together easily, too! 

     There's 6 pieces to clean, but not each one necessarily needs to be cleaned every time you vacuum.  That's up to you.  I do, however, recommend cleaning the upper and lower filters of the dirt container AND the dirt container itself (4 pieces total) after you're finished using it though, as these are the main areas that collect the most dirt.  Plus, by keeping these areas clean, the vacuum won't have to work so hard, will last longer and it'll keep cleaning the way it was meant to clean.  You'll also have a fresh smelling vacuum each time you use it.  I also like the fact that the dirt container is located in front of the vacuum and that it's "clear plastic", so that you don't have to open the vacuum or guess whether or not it needs to be emptied or changed.  I think it's a great product for it's production and value!
