I wasn't in Alabama but I was in Birmingham, CA without a pool.
**To the Point** After we left Dockweiler we went to Birmingham RV Park in Van Nuys, California. I thought it would be bad based on the location but I was wrong. **A Closer View** The sites were nice level pull throughs. Each site had a patch of grass and trees. We were taken to our site by a very nice man on a cart who was very helpful. There are very few rules. We could wash our RV which is not allowed in many parks. Birmingham had no amenities other than a laundry which I took advantage of. There was a large outdoor clothesline which came in handy as well. You won't find a pool or anything resembling a swing. It seemed that some people live here long term but this isn't a destination campground at all! We had a small airport very close by and a train! However neither ran often so these didn't bother us plus there was a Starbucks a block away! In addition we had excellent Internet reception. Cost: $38.00 **Jo's Viewpoint** **I like it as a home base if you are visiting L.A.**** ** 7740 Balboa Boulevard; (818) 785-0949 http://www.birminghamrv.com/contact.html
