Awful

I tried this as a backup to my usual thickening shampoo since the store was out of mine. After three tries, I trashed it. It made my hair slicker and it felt thinner as a result of that. After my hair dried, it itched so horribly I rinsed again with water. I chalked it up to not rising good enough, but after three times and thoroughly rinsing, I knew that wasn't the case. This shampoo does contain sulfates which is considered bad for the environment when it leaks into our water systems. There are substances in it that are known to cause break outs and some people are very allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate. Be sure to read the ingredient list and don't trust that just because it claims to be organic, doesn't mean it is. I would not call this shampoo "Green" at all considering it has environment damaging chemicals. Effectiveness The only thing it was effective at doing was turning my scalp into an itchy mess after only one shampoo.

Pretty good

After straightening my hair like crazy for nearly 4 years, I finally saw how dead my hair was and realized that I needed to find some type of product to bring it back to a healthy state.  During my search for a good product, I ran across Biotin's organic shampoo.  I managed to find it online for a pretty cheap price, and have been using it for a couple of months now.  Although I haven't seen any thickening in my hair, I like the product, mostly because I don't see it possible for a shampoo to thicken hair at all.  The smell is not too strong, and it definitely smells like something organic but it's not sickening to deafening.  Whenever I wash my hair and then go out people tend to notice my perfume or body spray instead of the smell of my hair.  Overall, I've seen an improvement in the texture and look of my hair.  It's not as dead or frizzy as it used to be and that alone is reason enough for me to continue using this product.

The...Avalon Organics....Thickening conditioner; not my fave.

The Alba Avalon Organics Therapeutic Glistening Hair Conditioner Biotin B Complex Thickening 14 oz Conditioner was worth a try. What I like about it is that it has all natural ingredients and is cruelty free. What I didn't like about it was that after using it paired with the shampoo and finishing both bottles completely, I didn't see any of the claimed thickening results. I also was surprised at how strong the smell was. Sure, it was a natural smell, reminding me of hemp, but not everyone in my house was a fan and I understand why: it was way too strong! This was a fairly expensive product and I expected much more for the money but went back to using much less expensive shampoo and conditioner with better results and a more pleasant smell. This product may be exactly what some are looking for, but not me. I was looking for something that would really make my hair be or at least appear thicker and more voluminous and this didn't work that way.
