I have four different hair types in my household. One of our hair types needs volumizing- mine. I was on the quest for a good volumizing shampoo and tried just about every brand on the shelves looking for something that would work and not weigh my hair down. Bioterra is from Zotos, which is a professional hair product company, so I decided to try that from Sally Beauty Supply. Effectiveness Some shampoos that are supposed to add volume give volume and then it goes away. Some shampoos that are supposed to add volume give volume but leave hair dry and frizzy. This shampoo didn't give any volume, but left hair flat and icky looking. My hair was not only flat, but looked dull and weighed down. I got nothing positive from this shampoo as it left my hair looking pretty awful, not even looking cleaner! Scent A fresh nice scent that is gentle- I guess I would call it an herbal floral of some sort, but not overpowering or repulsive at all. I would just call it, well fresh smelling. Not a heavy fruit or anything, but it does have a rather sweet refreshing smell to it.

Biotera Volumizing Shampoo did not do anything that it promised to do.  It claims to increase hair volume by twenty-two percent, says it right on the bottle.   It left my hair flat and lifeless, and dull.  My hair is long and straight, it is unprocessed, not colored, or permed.  I never use a blow dryer.  I was just looking for more volume in my hair, but instead, my hair looked worse, not better.  I used the Biotera shampoo for over a week.  Sometimes when using a new shampoo you need to give it a chance to work, but this did not help. I have discontinued using Biotera Volumizing shampoo, and am going back to my regular shampoo.   I purchased Biotera Volumizing Shampoo since it seemed to be a good buy, it was a very large bottle for less than I usually pay for shampoo. It was definitely not a bargain since I only used less than half the bottle.   The only good thing I can think of about Biotera Volumizing Shampoo is that the scent was not overpowering.
