I moved to Philadelphia, PA from Florida and I can't stand the cold. So I purchased a Bionare heater, the compact versions take a considerable amount of time to actually heat a room. This model however has a pivot that separates the two heater fans enabling a near 90 degree turn between the two directions that the fans can disperse the electrically heated air. The thermostat is built into the LED display allowing for the heater to be left plugged in so that it is only running when the temperature in the room is what you set it too. Major complaints include, slight smell when not in constant use and thermostat is not very sensitive. The smell is kind of moldy but is gone shortly after half hour and only happens if not in use more than a months time. Overall this heater is effective and dropped my electric and gas bill by $60. I purchased my heater from target for around $20. The auto-shut off has been tested multiple times by my dog and has worked every-time, so I feel safe leave it on even when I am not home to keep my pets in a warm environment during those oh so very cold winter months. I suggest this heater for anyone on a tight budget that needs an easy way to lower their electric/gas bills by not running the central heat or for anyone that wants to heat a reasonably sized space.
