About Biolage Matrix Ultra Hydrating Balm 16.9 oz
This conditioner was made for very dry, thick, coarse hair. When I bought it, my hair had been colored and highlighted at the same time and, because it is very long, the ends were fried and it was either condition it back to health or cut it off to the shoulder length. This conditioned my hair back to health.
This is to be used after shampooing as regular conditioner for those with chronically damaged or dry hair. I used it every other day until my hair was in good shape and now use it twice a month, leaving it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing. That isn't how it was made to be used. It was made to be applied and rinsed or left on the hair for a couple of minutes. I find leaving it on like a mask for my hair works well. I don't need to use it for a couple weeks or longer.
This really zaps frizzies and seals the hair shaft. It's nice and thick with a pleasant scent. Had I known how little I needed, I would have never bought such a huge tub. I have had it for almost a year and it's still at least a third full! It works wonders though and anyone who has coarse, thick, frizzy, damaged, or very dry hair should give this a try. Results are amazing. This doesn't drag down even my heavy, straight hair and isn't greasy.
My Viewpoint
Biolage Matrix Ultra Hydrating Balm is an excellent choice for those in need. It's pricey at about $21.00 but will last and last, even if used daily. You need a very small amount to condition the hair. I give it 4 stars but I am teetering on 5. It doesn't drag hair down and does just what it should. Oh heck, I will give it 5, I can't think of con expect for the cost which isn't that much considering the size and how little you need.
