Absolute rubbish, nothing on Google and cannot get rid.

1

The search engine has been removed and deleted many times, yet it still comes back and performs sub par in comparison to Google. Stay away.

Rarely gives me what I'm looking for.

2

Bing has some advantages over Google but is less reliable at finding what I'm looking for. The biggest advantage to Bing is that the display of results is easier to read but Bing needs to learn the difference between one word and another. I type in specifically what I am looking for and Bing gives me what the generic population of Earth is looking for instead.

Nice search engine with rewards!

5

Bing is a nice search engine if you want an alternative to Google. The layout of the site is beautiful and it has everything at your finger tips. You can type in whatever you are looking for and Bing will display images, videos and a ton of websites that is relevant to what you are looking for. Also Bing can keep a record of your past searches (if you want them to! Similar to browser history) so if you need to go back and reference a topic, that should not be a problem. What also makes Bing nice is that you can have it set up to be you default search engine and you can earn points off of searches you conduct everyday. You can be looking up the latest news story to the weather. It does not matter at all. Now, you do get a capped amount of searches they will allow you to get rewarded a day but it is nice to know that when are looking for information you need, Bing provides it quick and even rewards you for doing it. Now with Bing you do earn points on a slow scale that can be cashed in for a limited amount of gift cards but they are good ones, especially if you are a Xbox gamer. You can earn free months of XBL from your searches.

Bing Search engine: Useful and Rewarding

5

Everybody searches the internet on a daily basis, but how many people actually get paid to do that? I used to use Google or Yahoo for searching, but then I found Bing! The searches on this site are so much better than others. First off, when you search specific items they usually come up with vibrant pictures of what you searched, like if you search for flowers, you will see amazing color pictures along with the description. A lot of times I find new pictures and ideas on Bing to use for profile pictures or screen savers too. The second best thing about this search engine is that you actually get paid if you search daily. When you start out they will tell you the different levels, like silver and gold. Each day you search you will get at least 15 points, usually a few more for looking in your inbox for specials. If you are consistent you will eventually reach gold status and this means you can get rewards for less points. They keep track on the top near your name. When you have enough points, between 475 and 525 you can redeem for gift cards, how cool, you just got paid for searching. Bing is #1 in my book!

Not As Good As Google

4

Although I do like Bing, it is generally not my first choice to use for a search engine. I do not find their searches to be as accurate or as good as Google. I have my homepage set to Bing, for their rewards program, but if I need to search for something important, I usually will type in Google. As for Bing's reward program, it is fairly easy to earn a gift card a month. They do limit you to how many points you can earn in a day, which it think is a little lame, but I guess some would take advantage of searching and would do it all day. You are allowed to earn 15 points daily on searches, but you have to do 30 searches to get those 15 points. They also have a special search every day and when you click on it, you are brought to the results and awarded your point. I would like to see many more options for redemption down the line, as it is very limited in my opinion. Overall, Bing is not my favorite, but I do use it. There are better search engines out there, but it is all what you would like.

Good Search Engine - Avoid the Toolbar

4

I recently signed up with bing - I love search engines that pay rewards. Right now bing gives one point for every two searches (usually only up to 15 points a day from searching, though). The search results seem to me to be as good as any other search engine and better than some. And each day there are usually a couple of other things you can do at the site to earn a few more points. When you earn enough points you can redeem them for gift cards. There are other search rewards sites out there that potentially might give you more rewards sometimes but bing is one that you know exactly how much you'll earn - there's no crossing your fingers about it. The toolbar, however, is something I would advise everyone to avoid. I rashly downloaded it, thinking it would be useful. And it would have been useful - had it not caused issues with my computer (slowing processes down, causing IE to shut down a lot). Finally I tried to uninstall it - and it would not uninstall. I tried over and over and all it would do is tell me my uninstaller program was defective (it wasn't - as an experiment I uninstalled a couple of old programs I didn't need any longer and they were zapped instantly). I went online and found many other users who had the same problem - the toolbar appears to be a research tool for its manufacturer and has a strong disinclination to leave your computer once you've installed it. Finally I contacted bing and got a terribly lengthy and convoluted set of instructions on how to uninstall it - but I was afraid to use their instructions since they made it clear I would be tampering with my "registry" and might delete something crucial unintentionally. So although I've removed it from sight on my webpages it's still lurking somewhere on my computer.

Bing search engine.

When I enter the words I search, it gives the suggestions, so often I don't have to type the whole thing, it already knows what I am searching for. You don't even have to click the search button. It saves you the click too. The results show up immediately. I prefer bing over all other search engines, because they don't show the exact results I am looking for like bing. When I enter a word or a phrase for searching, it will show the results, the pictures and even videos of that all on the same page. It often shows the definition of the searched item right there too. Often I don't even have to click on the showed results, I will get the answer to my question just by reading some titles of the results or the picture. I also signed up for bing rewards. I search almost every day and earn the points that then I redeem towards gift cards. So far I got the starbucks gift card and amazon gift card. Now I am working on my next amazon gift card.

Amazing!

5

Its an amazing search engine and with there rewards program you can win prizes just for searching online with them! :) Whenever I need to know something I can go to bing and look it up. Whenever I want to see a beautiful picture I can go to bing images. They have high quality images of whatever you want to see. I can look up articles. I can look up my favorite websites and games. Bing is very fast and gives great results. Whenever I am bored I can get on Bing and look something up. It has helped me alot. I do alot of research often and If I didn't have search engines like Bing then I probly wouldn't have the information or knowledge that I do. I love being able to know or see or watch whatever I want whenever I want. It also has maps. You can look up the weather in your area. You can get directions to places. You can even look up items to buy on the internet. They have a translater so you can know other languages or even translate a website that Is a different language so that you can see it in the language you speak. They have a calculator you can even do math with Bing or look up the answer to your math question. So overall I rate Bing a good solid 10. Two thumbs up!

I wish it was a little bit more simple

4

I like simplicity and wish that Bing had a little less pizazz on the search engine, otherwise it runs great. I've searched for many answers on Bing and we use it as our search engine at work all the time and it has never run slow. I haven't noticed any ads that pop up first which is really nice.

Solid search results, but not much value in "extra features"

4

I had previously used Google for every search, but tried taking the "Bing Challenge" and it showed that I had a slight preference for Bing, so I decided to try it out. Overall, I haven't noticed much of a difference in the quality of results. At this point, I haven't gotten much use out of the social, side-bar features that they have added. Perhaps this is because most of my connections do not use the service. However, a few times it was mildly interesting to see a comment related to a business that I was searching for. I will keep using Bing to see if I get value out of these extra features in the future, but if not, I will likely switch back to Google.
