Biltmore Estate Chateau Reserve Chardonnay, Chardonnay —
Biltmore Estates of Asheville, NC is located in the foothill area of the mountains and produces 2 chardonnays. One is the Sur Lies and the other is the Chateau Reserve.
The Sur Lies has a heavier, oakier taste and can be a little bitter. This wine sells for $10-$14. Good with food or cooking, but too great by itself.
The Chateau Reserve is a bold, but lighter, taste and is wonderful with food or by itself. Sells for around $20 per bottle.
