A good store but watch for expiration dates

This is a great store to find deals.You can find many things there at a huge discount price.I would recommend , stay away from their food products.Every food product I have bought from Big Lots have been expired.On the other hand, I buy many things from them.Razors,shampoo,conditioner,electronics,furniture,dog items,dishes,bedding,etc.I am sure I have saved a great deal of money in the last year by shopping there.By all means,shop there but do not buy their food products.

I buy a lot of my groceries at Big Lots, and I have never even seen anything on the shelves that was expired. I am a fantatic about exp dates, I even write the exp date on everything on my pantry (in large writing, with a sharpie) so that we make sure we use the oldest first, or pitch what's too old. On the other hand, Target seems to have a HUGE problem with not taking expired groceries off their shelves. Amazing! I dearly love Target, but I don't understand why they can't get it right with exp food.
I have shopped at various Big Lots for over 20 yrs. They vary a lot in terms of neatness and cleanliness, but I have never gotten any bad food.
