Big Fish Games Review

Although I have used Big Fish Games several times, I have mixed feelings about the site. 

I love to play online games and frequently kill time or occupy myself while on the phone or watching TV by playing online games.  I like to play the Dream Day hidden picture games and mindless things like Bejeweled just to keep my hands busy. 

The Good - I have downloaded and played free trial games and have purchased a few games from Big Fish Games and the site is great for that.  The downloads are fairly fast, I never have install or uninstall problems, and everything just works really smoothly.  They have a wide variety of games that users can download and play free for an hour and then purchase or delete afterward.  There is even a game club that allows customers to purchase games at a deep discount which is very nice.  That part of the site is fine and I'm happy with it.

The Not So Good - The problem I have with Big Fish Games are their free online games.  They are well-organized by category (Puzzle, Casino, etc) but the games titles are not super descriptive so you have to click on the game and watch an ad from the sponsor before you have any clue what the game is. 

Today I clicked on a game called Fruits in the puzzle section having no clue what the purpose of the game was.  It took about 2 minutes for it to display and there was nothing to indicate what the game was all about.  I figured out how to play after a few minutes but the game was lame.  Time wasted.

Yesterday I played on the site for about an hour before I got bored with lame games and games with little or no instruction.  One game had one little sentence explaining how to play the game.  I didn't understand the instruction and couldn't get the game to actually do anything! 

3 stars - for having good free trial downloads, easy installation of purchased games, and a good selection.  I'd give Big Fish more stars if their free online games were not so horribly lame.
