Duncan Hines really gets 2 thumbs up from me. This is the best creamy frosting for a German chocolate cake that I could find. When I was younger my mother would make the BEST German chocolate cake and her own frosting. I was never able to make it is good as hers and so if I'm in a hurry to whip up some cake this is the best frosting to use.

Betty Crocker's Coconut Pecan frosting is not only rich and creamy, it is also delicious. It is a lot easier than having to make it myself and it is probably better than what I could make. I know for a fact that it is wonderful on German Chocolate cake. It spreads easily on the cake also. German Chocolate cake with Betty Crockers Coconut Pecan frosting is my husbands favorite cake,so I try to make it for him frequently and this frosting certainly does make that task a lot easier. The coconut pecan frosting is very reasonable in price and I can get it on sale a lot. That really helps. If you like German chocolate cake with this Coconut Pecan Frosting I am sure you will love Betty Crocker's frosting.It is really good to my family and I think you may also like it. Of course if you have an allergy to nuts I guess you can't try it. I do recommend Betty Crocker's Coconut Pecan Frosting for taste, texture,and price.

If you have ever made German Chocolate icing from scratch, you know what a pain it is.  You have to stir, you have to watch it, you have to be very careful with it.  I love german chocolate cake, so I've done all of this to get that delicious icing.  Well, one time I was on the lazy side, and decided to give Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Coconut Pecan Frosting a try.  Boy am I glad I did! It's delicious.  The coconut and pecans are nice and generous.  And, you don't have all that work to chop the pecans, mix the ingredients, simmer it on the stovetop.  Now, mind you, it's not the same as homemade.  But, it's the closest I've found, and if you are in a hurry (or a little lazy like me), then this is your frosting.  It goes on nice and smooth, there's plenty of it to cover the two layers of a german chocolate cake, and it's no mess!  You really can't go wrong.  I would highly recommend to any one!
