Best Disney Movies: My Top Disney Films —

I would have to say that my favorite Disney films are when Walt Disney was behind them.  After Walt, the films seemed to take a downward in quality and story.  The stories seemed stronger and have seemingly gotten weaker through the years.

1. Classics like Aladdin - A charming, but down-on-his luck Aladdin stumbles across the wealthy, but humbly-beautiful Princess Jasmine and loses his heart. Unfortunately, Princess Jasmine can only marry a prince. Aladdin's luck makes a drastic turn when he meets a magic Genie who grants him three wishes.

2. Robin Hood - The story of the legendary Robin Hood and his mission to help the poor comes to life in cartoon form with some lovable forest friends in Disney's Robin Hood movie. Sherwood Forest buzzes with activity as Robin the fox and Little John the bear battle the evil sheriff and Prince John with Sir Hiss the snake caught in the middle. This is funny, happy, enjoyable entertainment for families of all ages.

3. Mulan (A great girl impowering film) - Mulan grew up in a traditional Chinese family where few things are more important than pride and loyalty to family. When her frail father is called upon to join the Army, Mulan disguises herself and takes his place in battle. When she finds herself falling in love with her commander, the pressure mounts to maintain her cover and preserve her identity.

4. Bugs Life (A great film to show that if you don't prepare and depend on yourself you will not be ready for anything.  You have to be able to believe in yourself when no one else will.  etc.  this film is filled with great messages.) - Flik is a big thinker with bad luck. After years of watching his colony of ants work hard to stockpile food for the winter and then have a greedy group of ferocious grasshoppers sweep in a steal it all, Flik decides it's time for a change. Even though no one believes in him, Flik is determined to find some new fighters who will help him stop the evil grasshoppers and their ruthless leader Hopper.

5. Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Armed with his grandfather's spirit and the mysterious shepherd's journal to guide him, young explorer Milo Thatch joins an expedition aimed at finding the lost city of Atlantis. Their adventure has many dangerous twists and turns as they learn the truth about what really happened to the infamous Atlantis.

6. Lilo & Stitch - Orphan Hawaiian sisters Lilo and Nani struggle to take care of themselves and adjust to life without their parents. Nani decided it would lift Lilo's spirits to adopt a pet dog to be a companion for Lilo while Nani is away at work. Lilo immediately fell in love and formed a bond with her new talking pooch affectionately named Stitch. As Lilo, Stitch, and Nani melt into a happy family, telltale signs start to emerge that Stitch isn't an ordinary, talking dog.

7. The Incredibles - Mr. and Mrs. Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, gave up their crime fighting careers as superheros to raise a family under the long arm of the government protection program. Life as an every day citizen was great for Mrs. Parr, but Mr. Parr longed for his glory days as a superhero. When temptation gets the best of Mr. Incredible, can Elastigirl and the rest of the Incredible clan save him?
