Best Christmas Holiday Movies Reviews

Each holiday season I look forward to the wonderful old and new Christmas holiday movie choices. It is wonderful to sit down with the children and relieve my childhood memories of the animated classics as well as revisit some of my favorites throughout adulthood. Here are my current favorite holiday movies (in no particular order) that I try to watch every year – thank goodness for DVR!

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat and it's a great time to make some popcorn or hot chocolate or both and curl up on the couch with your family.  There are many great Christmas movies for families, including the classics It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and Miracle on 34th Street (1947) but here is an eclectic list of our favorite Christmas movies in no particular order.

Best Christmas Holiday movies is a two part essay that will concentrate on several movies that may be just under your radar when you think of Christmas movies, but you should probably consider as wonderful alternative holiday fare to watch.  I'll mention the most popular ones, my alternates and at the end of part 2 some so bad they are good choices too.
