Best Buy - Reward Zone Card —

The Best Buy Reward Zone program is horrible program. We have been loyal customers and use Best Buy because of the Reward Zone program and that is all changing. Our reward Zone account got linked with someone elses for the second time in 2 years. I have no idea how this happens, but all our info, purchases and reward zone certificates have been given to another customer. The customer service department is unhelpful. Last time it took almost a year to fix. This time the customer service department is giving us false information and being unhelpful. I am very concerned that they are giving our information (credit card numbers, purchase info, address, phone number etc) to another customer. This is a very dangerous situation. I looked up on what I thought was our account and I have someone elses information listed in my profile. I highly recommend not using Best Buy or their Reward Zone program.

I have spent many hours and months working with reward zone and they get everything wrong. I am aware that any credit card with best buy is not connected however they ask for my credit card number for my Mastercard to track my purchases and tie them to credit me back my points on reward zone. Since my account gets linked to other people continually, my credit card info is also being linked to other people. It is not a secure program and I gave up on best buy some time ago. This has happened 3 times in as many years and it takes me months and hours upon hours of calls to get this correct.

Your reward zone is tracked by your member id number and phone number. You have the ability to change the information on your Reward Zone home page to prevent wrong information.

Also the Reward Zone membership program (Best Buy) and the Reward Zone credit card(HSBC Bank) are separate. This means if this other customer is getting your RZ certificates it does not mean the bank HSBC sent them you Credit Card Statement, because HSBC doesn't have this information.

If you still don't understand just visit your local Best Buy.
