When I can write my name on the pollen on my truck, I know I'm in for a long haul. This area has bad air in general and loads of trees and flowers. There are times of the year when I am pretty sure my head is gonig to explode. When I was younger I seriously did wonder if "blow your brains out" really meant something about sneezing with that much pressure in the face. I could just mentally picture that.
I really love general Benadryl for itching. I also have bee sting issues. That stuff really does the trick. So, I thought I'd give Benadryl Allergy and Sinus Headache a try. I know the company makes good products.
I would say that Benadryl which has a pain reliever, antihistamine and nasal decongestant helps if I take it when I first feel some pressure. If I wait, then it's too late. My nose doesn't run like normal noses, so congestion backs up and leads to sinus infections. Those need to be treated by a doctor.
I try to stay on top of things. Benadryl Allergy is a good product. When I'm feeling just a little draggy, then this does the trick. If I'm feeling really cranky and falling asleep in the recliner, then it's time to call the doc. Those infections really do sneak up on me.
I'd also note that Benadryl does not contain Pseudoephedrine. I've read a few reviews that stated that it did. That's been associated with strokes. No one wants that. I double checked. That's not in this medication.
The only issue I've noted with Benadryl allergy is that it does tend to make me groggy. I'm more likely to take it at bedtime. Then, I wake up feeling better unless I'm really sick.
