Beautiful Hotel, lack of sensitiveness

I am part of the Hotel Industry with an extremely high service level; for us, guest satisfaction is #1 priority and probably that is why my expectations where so very high for my stay. Simple things could have made me very pleased such as change of my room which was very nice and comfortable but the view was terrible, straight to the parking lot and the noise of construction next to the parking lot started everyday at 7 am. I requested a room change and the answer was no. Then, on my last day I requested a late check out and I got back a very creative lie from the front desk person that attended me but made me feel like a fool if she thought I could ever believe that story: exactly at noon, a maintenance work will take place in that tower and there won't be any electricity, so elevators won't work and if you don't leave the room earlier than noon then you will have to stay in there until repair is finished and by then you may have lost your flight. I would have appreciated a simple: I'm sorry we can not do it because we are sold out or something like that instead of that story. I just feel like they do not have any flexibility neither interest in pleasing their guests.

Dining: Short Walk, Great Food, amazing service, outstanding views and the perception of money value in a french restaurant right across the street from this Hotel.
